Review #24: Promo Only: Dance Radio September 2007

As bad as this CD looks, I had to download this twice due to when it reached about 80%, my internet connection disconnected :( - I’m adjusting my rules for tha ratings - To determine which song iz easily my favorite, I will increase tha 4.0 ratings for a chance to get up to a 5.0 (which I VERY RARELY give out) - Anyway, boo hoo hoo - Promo Only Dance Radio September 2007 Review - Damn it’s 11:59 PM - I’m gonna be doin’ this ‘til almost 1:30, lol

Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much really love it, as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> “ iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after I type “ >>> “ iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it.

01. Justin Timberlake “LoveStoned (Tiёsto Radio Edit)”

It’s decent - Lemme hear this edit ‘cause my Tiёsto Remix Edit iz 4:03 I think, and has a longer intro :arrow: Yeah PO fucked up wit tha intro length ‘cause it’s :37 like in mine - Yeah decent for me – My Rating: 3.7

02. Mark Ronson Feat. Daniel Merriweather “Stop Me (Dirty South Radio Edit)”

After all tha looking for this, they get it a lil’ too late - I already shorted tha club mix and got it down to like 98% of what tha Radio Edit looks like, but yeah I think I’m slowly gettin’ bored of this now, even tho it’s banging :!: Shit it sounds SO much like my editing, lol – My Rating: 4.1

03. Public Enemy vs. Ferry Corsten “Bring The Noise (Remix) (Ferry Corsten Radio Edit)”

MCE has it (I don’t think I heard it on there in a lil’ while), so lemme get an official listen - One of tha first rap songs on tha CD :tu :arrow: Odd, but in a good way I guess :tu - “Yeah boyyyy!” - It’ll prolly grow in tha future, but I can see it being good :tu – My Rating: 3.9

04. Chris Lake Feat. Emma Hewitt “Carry Me Away (Radio Edit)”

Another song I edited recently (well I called it tha FTLD Vocal Edit), and now here’s tha Radio Edit - A nice slow jammer, although I could see losing interest here and there, but still a good slow jammer :tu :arrow: Ah screw my Vocal Edit that I made - I’mma replace it with this, and this iz sounding great on tha stereo :) – My Rating: 4.0

05. Rihanna “Don't Stop The Music (Jody Den Broeder Radio Edit)”

Why JDB? He’s starting to bore me wit these borderline songs (has he ever remixed a non-borderline song?) :arrow: Never mind what I said - This’ll prolly be a lot better than Wideboys version - Really feelin’ that intro, and tha music sounds BANGING!! :!: Oh yeah this should be real good - Really feelin’ it a lot better than Wideboys mix - When I played Wideboys mix while in tha car, I thought it sounded bad :td - A lil’ too many “mama say mama say mamamuksa”’s (sp?) in this :td - I guess this iz tha improvement of JDB ‘cause “Stranger” made me like him more, and now this, so :tu JDB :tu – My Rating: 4.2

06. Matt Darey vs. Tall Paul Feat. Larry Love (Alabama 3) & Don Jackson (Headstrong) “No Submission (Radio Edit)”

14 issues later, it’s on PO again, lol - I gave it a 1 star rating tha last time I reviewed it in June 2006, but now it’s a lot better, especially since I heard Matt Darey :tu - Really feelin’ tha music, and tha vocals are gettin’ better for me :tu - I guess it’s always good when DJs vs. Tall Paul ‘cause it comes out good :tu – My Rating: 3.8

07. Gym Class Heroes Feat. Patrick Stump (Fall Out Boy) “Clothes Off!! (Josh Harris Radio Edit)”

Okay first NHI (remix that iz) - Let’s see if it’s good :arrow: That’s one cool intro :tu Yeah I’m feelin’ all tha rapping in this, as well as that cool-ass Josh Harris beat :tu – My Rating: 4.0

08. Junkie XL Feat. Lauren Rocket “More (Original Radio Edit)”

Aight first new dance song for me :tu :arrow: Keepin’ tha consistant kick-ass beats goin’ :tu :tu - Likin’ tha vocals - Sounds like a pop artist? Really feelin’ it - Might be a great Lackawanna College song to me :tu - *Cries* It ended :cry: - My Rating: 4.4

09. Kelita “I Like To Feel The Beat (Radio Mix)”

Let’s see what this iz about / EDIT: I see “Radio Mix” in tha title, so now I remember it’s from Amathus, so first High AL :arrow: Sounding good & sexy at tha same time so far :tu - Shit all these songs have cool-ass beats :tu :tu :tu :tu - Nice sexy lil’ housy song - And yeah, “I like your sound” :tu - How odd this ties tha other song... I couldn’t decide which one I like better... never mind, this song better :tu – My Rating: 4.5

10. Tony Moran Feat. Martha Wash “Keep Your Body Workin’ (Radio Edit)”

High AL on tha TM song - Martha Wash sounds like an old name, but let’s see :arrow: Nice lil’ refreshing beat - I almost thought I wasn’t going to like at first, but refreshing :tu - Yeah this artist sounds old school ish - Tha music iz so not Tony Moran ish, but it’s great :tu :tu :tu :clap: - I guess this CD wants to be all consistent :) :tu – My Rating: 4.2

11. Paula DeAnda “Easy (Aspuration Radio Mix)”

Low AL... I don’t expect much, I’m hoping all that consistent continues :arrow: I guess I expected wrong - Nice lil’ music so far :tu - I like all those “y-y-y-y-y-yeahs” and “don’t be so damn easy”’s :tu - Not bad – My Rating: 3.9

12. Jes “Heaven (Radio Edit)”

Finally get to hear tha entire song – It’s got a Tiёsto feel to it (like “Everything”, but I think “Everything” iz better) - Here goes my re-hear: :arrow: Cool lil’ beat right there :tu - Nice lil’ dance song :tu – My Rating: 3.8

13. Delerium Feat. Jaël “Lost & Found (DJ Dan Radio Edit)”

Let’s see what happens after “Angelicus” - High AL! :arrow: Okay long intro, so I’m dying to see what comes next! Great uncredited vocals - They remind me of Jaël (tha one who did tha vocals to Delerium’s 2003 song “After All”) :tu - Well it looks like this might kill “Angelicus” from my playlist either if someone gets it (MCE maybe?) or if I PICK it for September or October – My Rating: 4.1

14. Elliott Yamin “Wait For You (Nevins GTR Radio Edit)”

Very low AL on this - Maybe it’ll be good? Who knows, but I’m not looking foward :arrow: Yeah gay intro :td - Yeah this dude from American Idol or somethin’ - Yeah I don’t like tha vocals, but tha music iz pretty good :tu - Alright I’m gonna be a lil’ nice wit my rating – My Rating: 3.1

15. Locktown & Alexandra Prince “Alive (Radio Edit)”

Where did this come from? :?: :arrow: Yay a refreshing intro :tu - Was that chorus in Spanish or somethin’, or did I hear tha vocals wrong? Nice refreshing music wit some decent vocals :tu - Reminds me so much of “Ai No Corrida” music - Actually, now I can hear tha chorus better :rofl - Yeah I was right - That beginning was in a different language - Shit I can’t get enough of that music!! :tu :tu - Those drums during tha bridge are CRAZY!! :D :clap: :tu – My Rating: 4.5

16. CoStarz Feat. Robert Martin “Promise Her Anything (Noel Sanger Radio Edit)”

A guy featured artist, but then again somethin’ different from Dauman Music (been waiting and waiting for more of their music) - High AL :arrow: Nice intro right there :clap: :tu - Really feelin’ that music - Reminds me a lil’ of Soul Seekerz :tu - On tha 2^nd verse, I like tha promising “rubies, diamonds” :tu - GREAT MALE VOCAL SONG!! :clap: :tu – My Rating: 4.4

17. Taylor Dayne “I'm Not Featuring You (Big Room Radio Edit)”

She’s finally back, and I hope it’s GREAT - High AL!! Oh yeah forgot to mention I love that title! :tu :arrow: Shit I swear it sounds like Tony Moran did tha production to this ‘cause it sounds a lot like S.Blush “It’s My Life” beat wit a mega twist (EDIT: It’s Manny Leham) - This iz sounding clubbish :tu - I like around tha 3:10 level tha beat gets better :tu - Nice length on this :tu – My Rating: 4.1

18. DJ Antone “This Time (Radio Edit)”

Lovin’ how all these dance songs are at tha end! Now that’s where AL comes from! :arrow: Uh oh *gets scared* - I don’t even think this iz dance - This iz more Rock - Wow that kills this song :td :td :td - What tha hell’s tha info on this? *Checks* ULTRA - 126 BPM - I thought this was a Rock label or somethin’, smh x1030422034023482039482034982039423094 :td :td :td - If this gets released, I can see feelin’ it in tha future - If not, then I ain’t PICKing this shit – My Rating: 1.4

Iz this “Kiss My Love” Tiffanie? I HOPE - REAL HIGH AL on this (might be tha most) - Glad to see DJ RH back wit his drums in tha club :!: :tu :shock: :arrow: Yeah kick-ass music again :tu - Yeah great - REALLY, now I’m REALLY feelin’ tha KJ music :tu - Pretty much tha whole song iz kick-ass :tu :tu :clap: - Looks like it hit tha JACKPOT ! ! ! ! ! – My Rating: 5.0

20. Christine Feat. LaTocha Scott Of Xscape & J. Stylz “Lose Control (Chris Craze's House Radio Mix)”

Iz this borderline ‘cause Xscape sounds like an R&B group or somethin’? I like this Christine name (it’s Lil’ Frankie’s mom’s name) so High AL (hopefully it won’t be gay) :arrow: Nice lil’ music :tu - Another cool club anthem :tu - Vocals sound like an R&B girl (like I said earlier) - Yeah real cool music - I’m liking it a lot :tu :tu - Even better music at tha end :tu – My Rating: 4.3

21. Ohsha Kai “Outta My Mind (Lenny B's Radio Edit)”

Can somebody say “hare krishna” :rofl - Tha last song, and Lenny B’s on tha mix - High AL :arrow: Nice lil’ intro for tha end of tha CD - Banging :tu - Yeah I kinda expected a lil’ bit of better vocals since tha artist’s name iz not English, but either way, banging Bertoldolicious music :tu :tu - A great way to end tha CD :) – My Rating: 4.2

Overall: End Time: 1:47 AM (lol) - I guess it was tha dance songs, but that CD was ON FIRE! Worst preview for a CD, but can I say it was BANGIN’ when I listened to it! It’s like tha sequel to tha June CD - Hopefully in Sepetmber, when I go back to LC, these songs stay HIGH QUALITY, and that no assholes have to ruin them on me - :!: I gotta do a check to see how many 4.0-5.0 ratings I have ‘cause there were SO MANY
