It’s about time I get ta this… Too much goin’ on wit college. Here goes my review for Promo Only: Mainstream Ra—oh damn, I forgot! There’s SO many Pop songs on here that I almost thought it was tha Mainstream Radio edition, ROFL! It’s really “Promo Only: Dance Radio October 2010”, possibly, tha worst one this year! I believe most of tha songs are played frequently on MCD; what’ll be my top-rated? Start Time: 10:41 PM | End Time: 12:20 AM

Quick Notes:

1. I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings (if a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much REALLY LOVE it as it’s considered “mindblowin’” when I hear it) so any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating.

To tha artist/producer: Don’t get catchy feelin’s if I don’t like a song on a first listen. Things could change in tha future as I could love it, so you neva know!

2. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song. Anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it.

01. Afrojack Feat. Eva Simons “Take Over Control”

On tha last CD, I called “One Life Stand” tha best 1^st song in a while. Now, I feel like this EASILY iz tha best one!!! Thought it would be some random MCE-type song (‘cause Afrojack has had some MCE production) but wit Robbins spicin’ up tha signin’, they HAD ta go Dance in FULL FORCE here!!! It’s about TIME MCD focuses on a REAL HOT song!! Gotta luv tha no intro acapella; it spices thangz up!! Tha beats are REAL CRAZY wit those HOT vocals too, ya dig?!? My Current Rating: 4.8

02. David Guetta Feat. Kid Cudi “Memories (Donaeo Remix)”

Speaking of MCD, they got rid of this song (barely hear it) and MCE added a different mix. LOL, was somewhat catchy at first but I don’t think it needs to do anything anymore. >>> LOL, this iz tha MCE mix; didn’t recognize tha mixer. It’s kinda cool wit tha Breakbeat sound although not too much on tha Dance level; more like a random remix. They just took tha original beats and added Breakbeat sounds; nothin’ really special… LOL @ this version makin’ this CD! My Current Rating: 3.6

03. Usher Feat. Pitbull “DJ Got Us Fallin’ In Love (Jump Smokers Radio Mix)”

Bleh… More non-Dance mixes? I HATE that MCD just plays tha original! It’s like, stick to REMIXES!! They’re still playin’ “I’m In The House” as well as WATERING DOWN “Dirty Talk” and “Forever And A Day”! :confused SMH, right when I just said this, what iz MCD playin’? “F&AD”, smh!! >>> Sounds like one of tha better-soundin’ JS mixes but why this song? Sounds like tha music got kinda boring during tha chorus but it’s still somewhat good throughout tha verses. Don’t think it’ll make it to an IC for me, especially wit me barely listenin’ to my iPod wit all this college shit goin’ on. Gettin’ kinda sick of hearin’ Pitbull these dayz. Ugh @ his Spanish shit too; leave that in tha Reggaeton times! My Rating: 3.7

04. Taio Cruz Feat. Ke$ha “Dirty Picture (Dave Audé Radio Edit)”

LOL, tha 1^st time I heard this (before I saw tha ID), I was like, “Bleh…?” Tha music sounds catchy throughout tha chorus and iz somewhat catchy. But, we’ll leave it as decent. I like how Ke$ha appears in tha song though. My Current Rating: 3.5

05. The Ting Tings “Hands (Ralphi Rosario Radio Edit)”

High AL on tha mix… Tha original version has an ‘80s Dance/Pop feel and MCD got a Mixin’ Marc mix, which iz good. Let’s see if this iz a better mix! >>> Music’s not bad although kinda repetitive for a start… Thought this would be an instant win but MM gets tha win for best mix, surprisingly! Okay, slowly pickin’ up afta tha chorus but because it’s RR, I should’ve had better thoughts in tha beginning! Sorry, but this mix makes tha song seem boring. My Rating: 3.1

06. Kat DeLuna “Be There”

LOL, for not seein’ tha tracklisting in a while, I’m guessin’ tha songs correctly, lol. A string of HMs all ova tha place! I don’t get tha original versions bein’ considered “Dance.” There’s gotta be a new word defining songs that are Dance/Pop, tryna be considered “Dance.” But, this iz a good song; I like it betta than “Push, Push”. I feel like this song’s kinda long too… My Current Rating: 3.9

07. Katy Perry “Teenage Dream (Kaskade Radio Mix)”

Back to tha “deciding-which-mix-iz-better” PO song… Will MCD’s Vandalise Le Pop (or whateva) mix be betta or this? >>> Tha starting vocals brought interest to my ears so this iz a plus on tha mix! Kinda weird wit tha matchin’ of tha music and this song but it sounds good. Kinda slowly soundin’ boring (due to its length) but at least it gave me a plus. My Rating: 3.8

08. Jes “Closer”

Okay, a new song here wit only 123 BPM. Lookin’ forward to hearin’!! >>> Tha beat sounds pretty hot; can we FINALLY have anotha 4.0-rated song?!? Sounds anticipatin’ wit her hot vocals and this hot beat!! Tha chorus sounds tight; glad this iz makin’ a nice mark in this month’s PO! Tha 2^nd verse sounds hot too; lookin’ forward to hearin’ this one a lot, hopefully! My Rating: 4.3

09. Chris Willis “Louder (Put Your Hands Up)”

LOL, heard it on MCD this morning and it sounded cheesy at first. But, there’s all kinds of hot, Guetta-type music in it so it gets a plus for catchiness from me. Cheesy lyrics (mainly all tha “clap”ping, lol) but good music… It almost sounds like Kat DeLuna’s beat, only faster. This could prolly be in tha Pop world… I don’t even remember if he performed this at Megajam, lol. He might’ve… My Rating: 3.6

10. Adam Lambert “If I Had You (Morgan Page Radio Edit)”

SMH… I think this CD also has a lot of one-hit-wonder-soundin’ people. >>> I don’t think MP iz that good at makin’ catchy remixes; he’s good at havin’ his songs remixed. Not into this somewhat-boring music and wasn’t already too crazy wit this song. LOL, this iz slower than tha original. Damn, this iz over four minutes long? Why so long? Most of these bleh-soundin’ songs/remixes should just cross tha three minute mark. My Rating: 2.4

½time: “Take Over Control” made tha average CD rating stay pretty high. This CD ain’t anything heartthrobbin’ at all; 3.7 average CD rating so far.

11. Remady Feat. Manu-L “Give Me A Sign”

Anotha thing wit MCD that I don’t get: they don’t list tha featured artists most of tha time? :confused Anyway, although tha last song was cheesy, this iz pretty catchy, especially since MCD plays it often. I’m not too much of a fan of tha same-soundin’ music iz in this song from tha last song. But, it’s catchy for what it iz… LOL, at 1:44, tha lil’ verse started (if I’m not mistaken). Reminds me of “Turn On The Music” wit that takin’ like 2.25 minutes to get to tha verse, lol. My Current Rating: 3.7

12. Cara Quici “Away From You (Jump Smokers Radio Mix)”

Tha 1^st new-new song. I believe signed to BoA’s Arsenal label so this should be an exciting 1^st listen, hopefully. Let’s make tha music BIGGER than tha “DJGUFILA” music!! >>> Anticipating for a start wit tha vocals although I expect better for tha music. Sounds like a HOT chorus wit tha lyrics! Tha music iz pretty good although it’s just synth sounds and not much else… Sounds like a long breakdown wit tha music after tha chorus… After hearin’ much of this, it doesn’t sound like 130 BPM. Forgot to mention: she has a HOT name! My Rating: 4.1

13. Rihanna “Only Girl (In The World)”

I don’t think a non-Dance song that goes Pop already should be on this CD. But, because Mr. “Straight To The Sky” Sandy Vee was one of tha producers for this song, you KNOW PO HAD ta put this, lol!! After hearin’ it so many times, I think it’s catchy and will be IC’d for my playlist. I think tha music iz VERY hypnotic in tha verses, which I really like. And, all those sounds used in tha chorus iz just hot! My Current Rating: 4.0

14. Shontelle “Perfect Nightmare (Intro Edit)”

ROFL @ “Intro Edit” bein’ included… Neva saw two non-Dance songs in a row before on a PO… I don’t think I was that crazy wit this song in tha 1^st place so let’s see where it’s goin’ wit a review… >>> LOL, non-Dance beats here. Sounds like a lot of “sometimes”… Tha beat ain’t that bad but not even close to Dance. Okay, tha “no way, no way…” shit was what got me when I heard it. It’s kinda “WTF?” at first but could be catchy in tha future… PO just stereotypes these songs that have at least 120 BPM and thinks that they’re Dance, smh. What’s up wit this length? Shouldn’t be close to 4.5 minutes! My Rating: 2.9 (lower rating mainly ‘cause of it not even bein’ Dance and shouldn’t’ve been on here)

15. Sky Ferreira “Obsession (Static Revenger Radio Mix)”

I LUV HER LONG, THICK HAIR!!! :)

PO picked this as their fastest song? Only clockin’ at 131… Kinda HMish, as it’s signed to Katy Perry and Lolene’s label. Heard tha other two mixes (Mike Rizzo—sounds good and anthematic and Sam Sparro/Golden Touch—not bad but catchy). If this iz tha fastest mix, I wanna hear how good it iz… hopefully! >>> There’s always that “you-don’t-know-what-to-expect” feelin’ wit SR on tha mix. Cool so far but nothin’ that’s mindblowin’… Tha guys chantin’ in tha background are kinda weird (don’t hear it too much in tha other mixes) but after a minute, here’s tha 1^st verse. Still soundin’ pretty good but MR gets tha win for best mix IMO. Slowly losin’ interest; thought I’d add as a 3^rd mix but I guess not, lol. My Rating: 3.6

16. Edun “My Love Is Here For You (Bassmonkeys Edit)”

Okay, now I remember what I wanted to talk about in tha beginning of this review. There’s a new type of PO called Express Audio DFF. They have 4-5 issues a month. Each issue has like 30 songs on it with all tha POs combined (like all tha Dance Radio songs for tha month usually appear within tha 4-5 issues during tha month). I see September 2010: Week 1 had tha original version of this song, Week 2 has tha new Damien S song, Inna’s “Amazing”, a new Next Plateau song from Ela Rose/David Deejay “I Can Feel”, clockin’ at 135 BPM and others. When I saw this tracklisting, I was like, “All those songs didn’t make it?” Maybe, they’ll make November, hopefully. Now, let’s see what took her four years to get another Domestic single out there; REAL HIGH AL right here!!! >>> Sounds a lil’ slow at first but it’s very anticipatin’!! You KNOW I gotta anticipate tha BM a.k.a. Liquid Nation music!! Well, this song DEFINITELY gets tha thumbs up on passing!! Hope it gets exposure like tha OVER, OVER, OVER PLAYED (surprisingly, not on MCD anymore) “Put ‘Em Up”, lol. Hopefully, she can keep tha jamz pumpin’ in tha US; she did it wit “PEU”, she can keep “’em” comin’, lol! My Rating: 4.4

17. Maroon 5 “Misery (Bimbo Jones Radio Edit)”

LOL, MCD just in LUV wit this song, ROFL!!! :rofl Catchy, but I’ll just leave it as a sentence of feedback, lol! ROFL @ 1:55 and there bein’ HOTNESS outta nowhere on a boring beat like dis!! :rofl My Current Rating: 3.7

18. Stromae Feat. Kanye West & Gilbere Forte “Alors On Danse (Nevins No Fog Horn Edit)”

ROFL @ “No Fog Horn” in tha ID! :rofl Wasn’t familiar about this song at first but MCD got tha original version (I assume) so let’s see what’s up wit dis… >>> Yea, Kanye took tha 1^st verse. I think there’s a catchy beat here and okay/good rappin’. Looks like tha title = “I love Dance;” you know what it iz!! I guess many people “love Dance,” lol! My Rating: 3.7

19. Hyper Crush “Flip The Switch”

MCD always plays this… That dude rappin’ iz cheesy for me. If you’re white and rappin’, be cautious. Tha last song they had was better for me. Kinda cheesy in a way… My Current Rating: 3.3

20. Lauren Dyson “V.I.P.”

Had to check tha label just in case it wasn’t anotha random HM/Pop song. Good thing it’s Robbins; hopefully, anotha exciting song from this CD!! >>> I feel like bad luck; I sense this not bein’ Dance wit tha beginning beat. I have to say, this does sound a lil’ anticipatin’, but why Robbins? Cool future wit tha chorus but anotha song for tha Pop world. At least this girl sounds pretty hot. I don’t know why they consider this Dance though. My Rating: 3.9

21. Benny Benassi Feat. Kelis, apl.de.ap & Jean-Baptiste “Spaceship (EDX Radio Mix)”

ROFL, what a way to end… SMH @ MCD R.I.P.in’ tha original version fa this? But, they keep original versions of non-Dance songs? :confused Cool music but it wasn’t really meant for this song. Plus, they took one of tha dudes out of tha song so now, I can’t tell who it iz (left both in tha feature). They kept just a lil’ “jump on tha spaceship,” lol. Funny how when this was on PO, they had an “I Can Fly” edit, takin’ out tha “so get high” (why?). Now, they have tha “so get high”, lol. My Current Rating: 3.8

Overall: Yawn… November’s iz prolly almost here! SMH @ all tha non-Dance songs and some of tha expected Dance artists turnin’ into Pop songs!

Lookin’ at my comments on tha song ranks, looks like there were three official-soundin’ Dance songs, smh. Some borderline but tha rest HMs or non-Dance songs.
