Lol,
almost tha same type of intro, like tha last review I did fa Promo Only: Funny that I was about to
throw 20 mg of edibles back & check out tha POOL adds for this month
[February]. However, I went to go (now) check on PO’s
website to see if tha April edition of Dance
Radio dropped & when I did, well, here we are! Dance Radio April 2021 iz
here! Looks like tha review’ll go over well; lookin’ forward ta hearin’ it! As
far as me, I had a rough beginning of February, tryna get my upcomin’ music
done. I can’t believe how money-hungry some people can get & I got to tha
point, where I cried three dayz in a row. I have so much passion to offer &
it either gets miscommunicated or has always been passed upon. However, now that
almost all of February’s outta tha way, I finally am gettin’ some shine,
courtesy of TuneCore & ASCAP; that’s right, I’m now registered! My new
single & video, “I’m Edibled Up” w/Level iz out now: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jymAJbTOo-M;
so happy for it! With that bein’ said, let’s see how its happy auras reflect on
me doin’ this review, right nah…! Start
Time: 7:29 PM | End Time: 9:16
PM
Disclaimer: I type how I wanna type
(frequent use of “tha” instead of “the,” “iz” instead of “is,” “a”-ending words
instead of “er,” and a few others). I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each
rating iz my own opinion! I only
please myself wit my ratings! As long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it,
I like it how I wanna like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics.
To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at
least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I
pretty much really love it, as it’s
considered mindblowin’ when I hear
it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “
>>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after I
type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it.
Sometimes, I may not rate a song too high on its first listen, but in tha
future, I could be playin’ it more than a higher-rated song…

01.
Joel Corry x RAYE x David Guetta “Bed”
Label: Big Beat/EMG
I’ono
if it’s a sign of tha tymes gettin’ more normal, again? Been a minute since I
actually was able to guess what was gonna be tha 1st track on an
edition. Seen it get out there, earlier this week & now, I’m gonna sit
& listen to it, in its entirety… >>> Sounds okay for a start but
definitely nice with how RAYE specifies that it’s five after “9”. Sounds like a
nice collab between tha three of them; how big
will this turn out ta be, tho? Kinda sounds like a cheesy chorus/title with
this “Bed”, even tho it ain’t too-too bad… Tha 2nd verse’s soundin’
better, now that all tha beats are playin’ in tha music; good job, overall… My Rating: 3.8
02.
Glass Animals “Heat Wave (Oliver Heldens Remix – Radio Edit)”
Label: Republic
Surprised
that after seven years of me discoverin’ them, courtesy of their “Gooey”
alternativeness, that they’re on Dance
Radio! Seen this also on tha hit stations, as well; I’ono how well I’ll be
able to convert tha taste of their music from alternative to dance, tho…
>>> At least it sounds cool; a lil’ betta than I expected. I like how
tha chorus plays in tha beginning, before tha verse. Even tha drop, too;
definitely nice! Definitely feelin’ these beats from Oliver, here; glad he
stepped back into tha “Fire In My Soul” catchiness…! Tha verse ain’t too bad,
for a dance remix; kinda sounds like tha track pushes its way away from tha
alternativeness & as a new student in tha dance world? I give it props;
better-than-expected remix…! An okay bridge, toward tha end; once again,
they’re new to this world they call “dance”! My Rating: 4.3
03.
Nitti Gritti feat. RUNN “Where I Belong (Nitti Gritti House Remix)”
Label: Proximity
It
seems like it’s hard fa me ta get into these two (Nitti & RUNN)… I guess
it’s been tha slow, trap-soundin’ beats that have been turnin’ me off. Now, we
got them in house style, so hopefully, this’ll be their avenue ta go, when it
comes to my playlist…! >>> Not as fast for a start—oh, that word,
“tired”; who needs it? Anyway, beats are slowly startin’ off; thought they were
gonna come in, right away. Tha vocals ain’t too bad on this one, here; hope tha
track can pick up… Sounds like tha chorus iz a lil’ better; some added sounds,
at tymes, which adds to its taste with me… Sounds like a good chorus, overall;
kinda liked how tha transition went from title to 2nd verse, lol?
Usually, there’s a drop but for this one, Nitti avoided that. Okay, now, a drop
comes on, after tha 2nd chorus & it’s much more of an
anthem-soundin’ track, for tha dance loverz, at least… My Rating: 3.8
04.
Martin Garrix feat. Tove Lo “Pressure”
Label:
STMPD/RCA
A
slow dip? Ironic, with tha #’s? Track 4
of 20; BPM drops to 115 (been
a long while since a #04 track went below 120) & a “(Stay High)” singer on
tha vocals? Seen this one get picked up, courtesy of Diplo & his
Revolution. I have ta say, as great & hot as Tove iz, I feel like this one
coulda been a lot more exciting. Like, beats are really dry for a Garrix track,
especially with tha Tove…; “we [can’t] be heroes…,” here? Definitely hope it gets a nice lil’ VIP, festival,
etc. mix, in tha future! Either way, cool for a track durin’ boring tymes; keep
up tha EDM collabz, Tove! My Current
Rating: 3.5
05.
MK feat. Raphaella “Lies”
Label: Ultra
Been
seein’ this one fly around tha Diplo Revolution airwaves & now, more
exposure. Glad to see tha Raph gettin’ out there, more & more. Also, she
has an uncredited appearance on tha new GATTÜSO track, “Somebody”; anotha nice
one. With this one, I’m feelin’ tha M(arc)K beats & R’ella vocal combination,
here; nice one. Not much of a spark in wanting to get right away, due to tha
sour tymes continuing. However, with this whole celebration of my track &
hopefully, tha tymes of tha world tryin’ to return ta normal, this’ll do better
than average? Doesn’t seem like it gon be a song that’s gonna stick & stay,
tho; how will it be memorable? We’ll have to define that, ourselves, wink-wink!
My Current Rating: 4.2
06.
David Solomon “Cross Your Mind”
Label:
Payback/Big Beat
Heard
this one on BPM; anotha one of those examples of a mysterious, uncredited
vocalist. I guess I’ll be on tha mission to find out who they may be?
>>> Sounds like a familiar female; feels like I’ve heard her before.
Sounds like a good female for this dance track, courtesy of this David. Tha
chorus str8; I can give it a prop(s),
so far. Hearin’ tha drop & I dig it, despite it bein’ on tha
slap-house/plain tip. Sounds like a song that has tha potential to be
good/bigger. Its current exposure seems like a nice move, at least, so only way
up now iz by expanding. Overall, despite some of its dry points, it sounds like
a nice lil’ dance banger fa this still-developing 2021… My Rating: 4.0
EDIT: Oh, I see, now: David Solomon.
07.
Oliver Heldens feat. Syd Silvair “Never Look Back”
Label:
OH2
Likin’
how OH shuffled tha “H2O” into his OH-n OH2 label, lol;
that’s how I see it. Either way, can he repeat his magic that he did with tha
“Gooey” Animals, lol? >>> Ain’t expect this one to be a female;
totally fooled me…! Sounds like it can be somethin’ of excitement, based off
tha chorus? Drop sounds decent on this one. Hearin’ tha 1st verse
& it sounds good; sounds like a more-special vibe from Oliver, in a way?
Like, it’s better than just okay. Tha
2nd verse cool, too; not too sure how much luv in tha dance world
this gon get, vs. tha recent male-vocal ones? My Rating: 3.9
08.
Showtek & Sevenn “Pum Pum”
Label: SKINK
Cappin’
“SKINK” in its entirety to express a big
vibe, here? I hope so; I hope hearin’ this all pays off ‘cause it gon have to…! >>> Luv how it caught
me off-guard, with tha music start! Definitely sounds catchy with these secret,
Jamaican, male vocals…! Catchy way of deliverin’ tha vocals & handlin’ tha
beats; good shit, so far! Almost wasn’t sure of what ta make outta tha title
part, in tha chorus & beats following. However, it progresses to keep tha
catchiness goin’! At least there’s a lot goin’ on with this track; could be
this edition’s highlight, lol? Likin’ tha catchy 2nd verse, with all
tha chantin’ of “if you like” & so forth; definitely “zone-tuned”—did I
just make somethin’ up, lol? February 28, 2021, 8:03 PM; a phrase from my brain
laid an egg & it hatched from me, courtesy of extraction (into tha review),
lol. Needless ta say, glad there were so many elements in this one; hope it
gets tha attention it deserves! Always seen tha Showtek boyz get out there,
throughout tyme; they deserve tha ever-growin’ success! My Rating: 4.8
09.
Noizu “Summer 91 (Looking Back)”
Label: Three Six Zero
Seen
this one a while back, courtesy of tha Dip, I think? Don’t really remember it
off bat but… >>> Sounds like a nice, long house vibe ta kick off tha
continuous beats, here… Oh wow, really diggin’ that female vocal part, “You
don’t even realize you’re in tha moment, until it’s a memory”; power, there! Neva really caught that part, from what I originally
remembered with tha track. Definitely feelin’ all tha continuous, catchy house
beats progressin’, here…! Tha slap-house plain minds should take notes to add
to their slap-houseness, so their beats are not so dry. This song sounds like
it can make a great example & leader to them. Now, not sure how long ago I
seen this pop up but depending on how tha world turns, I guess, this one can
see its faith or fate…! My Rating: 4.6
10.
Robin Schulz & Felix Jaehn feat. Alida “One More Time”
Label: Big Beat/EMG
Excited
ta know that Rob & Alida are collaboratin’, again; hope they can repeat
their “In Your Eyes” magic, with Feel-J,
lol…! >>> Sounds like it’s an exciting start, based off tha intro
& I’m feelin’/anticipatin’ these slow beats. Alida’s great vibes &
anticipation adds to how great I feel about tha track, most definitely…! Oh,
definitely a nice chorus! Lots of “last” parts; definitely powerful, it its own
way…! Also, dope-ass drop part; definitely
somethin’ special! I can tell this iz definitely
better than normal! At least there’s some sorta exciting dance music hittin’
our airwaves, soon! Definitely feelin’ tha power, compared to thinkin’ I’m gonna feel tha power, one day!! My Rating: 4.9
½tyme: From “Time” to “tyme”, here—ironic ‘cause I actually
changed “½time” to “½tyme”, while
typing tha template to this review out. I made tha change to go with my style
guide & how I type; it’s tha most-recent word. Anyway, sounds like it’s a
pretty exciting review, so far; a nice 4.2 ½tyme
rating…! It’s almost like a complete detection of my upcoming success’ waves,
in tha future? For “Pressure” to be tha least-rated, currently, that’s a total
“lol” from me, due to it don’t seem like my currently-plain world iz ready for
all new excitement? I think my mind just waits for action to happen b4
anticipating it, like I used to.
11.
Jonas Blue & AWA “Something Stupid”
Label: Astralwerks/Capitol
Not
100% sure of tha exact AWA (all caps), here, vs. tha “Awa” (no stylization)
from 11/12 years ago (of Romain Curtis & Seamus Haji “I’ve Been Looking”).
I’ll have ta find out & see if my AWAs link up, lol…! >>> This
beginning music vibe & hearin’ tha female on tha vocals, here, makes me
feel like tha credibility can make my AWA & Awas link up, lol. Definitely
feelin’ tha excitement throughout tha beats, here; definitely way better than tha plain vibes most
tracks be bringin’, these dayz…!! Definitely glad these two collaborated on
this track, here! They kinda make those “I’ve Been Looking” vibes come
instantly back, like nothin’ happened to ‘em! Also, even with an extra dose of
more excitement…! My Rating: 4.6
12.
Jack Swoon “Somebody”
Label: Three Six Zero
Anotha
one of tha 3-to-tha-6’s but I ain’t talkin’ Three
Six Mafia, lol—how ‘bout dat
one?! With tha previous Three Sixer bein’ tha more housey track, I can betcha
this one on that same level? Ironic double match, if so, due to tha GATTÜSO new
track iz actually called “Somebody”,
as well? >>> I think I can picture tha houseness bein’ here; not sure
if somethin’ weird gon come outta hearin’ these beats…? Sounds like anotha
familiar female, on tha vocals? Or, someone completely different, just in her
own loaded zone, lol? Sounds like a good lil’ house vibe; it almost reminds me
of hearing a slight DVBBS “Wrong About You” intro part (tha 1st
second of DVBBS), bein’ a sound, in some of this track’s parts? Either way, its
repetitiveness & strangeness sounds like it’s somethin’ catchy…, maybe?
I’ll have to “see.” My Rating: 3.7
13.
Ofenbach feat. Lagique “Wasted Love”
Label: Big Beat/EMG
Excited ta see anotha new one from tha Ofenbach boyz. However, when I heard it
on Music Choice Dance, I wasn’t really diggin’ tha male-vocal style…
>>> Yeah, not too crazy about these male vocals & tha 2:15 length
kinda short to prove its points with me… Chorus kinda ehh/kinda okay; can’t
really get into ‘em. Tha drop a lil’ plain; nothin’ excitin’ goin’ on with it…
It makes tha verses sound best, outta tha drop & chorus? Not tha best power…
“La-la-la-love” someway different, lol…! My
Rating: 3.0
14.
Marcus Santoro & Isabelle Stern “It’s Not About You”
Label: Enhanced
This
one could be exciting, courtesy of En-higgy-higgy-hanced, lol? >>>
Sounds like a good, Leona Lewis on dance vibes-like vocal vibe, here? Sounds
like good quality; catchy lil’ chorus, too… Glad tha music gettin’ better, as
tha chorus progresses & drop drops! Nice lil’ music throughout tha drop,
too; always good ta hear two newbies on tha track, between tha DJs/Producers &
female vocalist! You don’t get that too easy, nowadayz! Definitely feelin’ tha
catchiness throughout tha whole track; props fa bein’ new & “you”! My Rating: 4.5
15.
Clean Bandit feat. iann dior “Higher (Andrew Marks Remix – Radio)”
Label: Atlantic
And,
whataya know? Anotha #15 slot fa C-Bandit! Also, interestin’ ta have iann on
tha collab. It was a year ago that I was givin’ him props on his emo trap’d,
shmoked-out “Good Day”. It ranked my #19 song on my Top 596 Songs of 2020 &
I couldn’t imagine tha same dude would top tha Billboard charts with tha Clean Bandit previous collaborator,
24kGoldn, courtesy of tha “Mood” they detected. Now, we’re at tha remix to
“Higher”; crazy how your world can change for success, so fast!! >>>
Sounds like an okay remix, so far; definitely needed one… An okay/good 1st
verse part but tha chorus definitely
has a lot more strength…! I expected a big drop, especially since this edition
has had bigger-than-expected vibes. However, it’s just a dry,
slowly-progressin’ title part…; “No bonus,” I would say, lol? Either way,
definitely nice that we at least got
somethin’; props to tha strong chorus…! My
Rating: 4.4
16.
Rony Rex “Fabric”
Label: Robbins
Can
only imagine, with tha newbie & Robbins…, especially #16 hype I used to
have, back in tha 2000’s! >>> Had no
idea what to expect; I’d have ta say, unique? I don’t think this’ll be one
of those that’ll get out there & get exposure. It’s gonna take help from,
like, me to give it its points? I mean, rhymes sound nice; imagine a rappin’
Carla Monroe—Alika? Damn, tha rhymes went off fa a sec.; what consistency, lol!
Luv when she was spellin’ words & all that! Definitely a nice, unexpected
transition! Since this has more of a unique, interesting vibe to it than tha
typical-soundin’ song, I think this’ll be a good one with me? Could go that
way…? Kinda mixes so many vibes together: cheesy, raptastic, sexy, intense,
dance, house, Robbinstastic, new, unique—crazy!! Then again, if it don’t get
out there, we’ll see how my moments fa May 7th will be, as it’ll add
with me, that day. At least it’ll be warmer out, with (hopefully) a change for
tha better/more success! My Rating: 4.5
17.
Masked Wolf “Astronaut In The Ocean (Los Padres & Jaymac Remix – Radio)”
Label:
Elektra/EMG
More
on tha Elektracular side, here… Funny that somethin’ like this would have 128
BPM? Just looks funny, based off this “astronaut” that’s floating “in the
ocean”, somewhere… >>> Had no
idea what I was in for but I feel a lot better just hearin’ it…! Sounds like an
interestin’ male, here, as well as this whole danced-out vibe…! Crazy that he
mixin’ tha “G-O-D” with tha “T-H-O-T”s, in tha same line? Crazy… Either way,
lots of rhymes goin’ on, here, as well as okay/good-soundin’ dance vibes… Then
again, how will this do in tha mainstream dance world? I’ono; again, my
clueless expectations made me assume it was gonna be clueless for tha average
listener? Either way, in my opinion, it has its cool vibes, between how it has
tha rappin’, tha strangeness, tha danceness, tha newness, tha uniqueness &
tha coolness combine…! My Rating: 4.3
18.
Sabrina Carpenter “Skin (Kue Remix Radio Edit)”
Label: Island/Republic
Don’t
really anticipate her too much for tha dance world; a lil’ too much like a
soft-teeny? >>> Just okay, for tha most part; only four years have
went by, since I first heard of her… Sounds like a good lil’ chorus; I’ono
about exposure, tho. This’ll either be randomly big or just one of those that
got away? Nice lil’ pre-drop/2nd drop part from Kue, at least. Other
than that, just an okay one for me; excited ta see what’s left…! My Rating: 3.3
19.
Zookëper feat. Marlhy “Think Of You (Morgan Page Remix)”
Label: Enhanced
Nice
ta see this one on here, again! …Definitely!! >>> Sounds like a good
lil’ intro from Mr. Page, as tha beats progress… Definitely sounds like a
well-needed boost was applied, tho it’s mainly an added-needed boost. Original
sounded nice & this as an extra version makes for a nice bonus…! Just,
mainly, fulla good dance beats & how tha three of them combine, together…! My Rating: 4.5
20.
Tyron Hapi & if found feat. Emily Falvey “Could’ve Been Us”
Label:
Robbins
*Frankie remembers who was
left on this edition but shouted out his own song’s 3:19 length (rounded), out
loud, lol…*
Anyway, as odd as that sounded, at least there’s this ta end off a great
edition! I was surprised at how much his “Lonely Heart” got luv; 16x a day on
BPM, lol? Bigger than I expected; how will this slow vibe go (even four BPM
more than my track)? >>> Sounds like a good lil’ track; I’m feelin’
how this sounds to fit, like, an ending-song vibe, to a nice edition. Sounds
like some female vocals with strength, here; sound nice… I’ono how much I can feel tha trapped-out beats,
tho… I have to give props to tha vocal chops, tho; I inspire tha Louisiana producers to
get some chops in they drops! A lot are feelin’ my melodic “meh-di-be-up”
vocal-chop in my track… With that bein’ said, this has more of a strong vibe
but I’ono how big it’ll be, once again? Deserves its props; not 100% sure how
much luv I gon show it… I feel like it can grow with moments? My Rating: 4.2
Overall: Seemed like it was a very
pleasing review, as I now have only 40 more to complete b4 I reach my 2,000th
review, altogether (outta 15 years, this month)! Hearin’ a bunch of tha exciting
vibes, between tha beats, vocals & beat-vocal combinations made for a bunch
of good to come outta tha already-hurt world we currently be witnessing. Can’t
wait to play a bunch of these tracks; I will continue to build my success &
use these vibes as tha inspiration…! It’ll already be spring b4 you know it…!
