Tyme
fa anotha Promo Only review, as tha
year slowly progresses…; not much of advancement for me since tha last review.
However, just 15 dayz ago, my uncle that got me into tha lottery & gambling
suddenly passed away of a massive heart attack, at just 57 years-old. It’s sad
but I feel strong enough to move on. It makes me learn that workin’ so much
& raisin’ your blood pressure from work events iz not worth losin’ your
life! With that bein’ said, here goes my review for Dance Radio May 2021! Start Tyme: 8:08 PM | End Tyme: 9:11 PM
Disclaimer: I type how I wanna type
(frequent use of “tha” instead of “the,” “iz” instead of “is,” “a”-ending words
instead of “er,” and a few others). I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each
rating iz my own opinion! I only
please myself wit my ratings! As long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it,
I like it how I wanna like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics.
To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at
least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I
pretty much really love it, as it’s
considered mindblowin’ when I hear
it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “
>>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after I
type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it.
Sometymes, I may not rate a song too high on its first listen, but in tha
future, I could be playin’ it more than a higher-rated song…

01.
Alesso & CORSAK “Going Dumb”
Label:
Liquid State
Seen
it around but didn’t get to appreciate a full-on listen, just yet. Luv how tha
title literally reminds me of my Louisianimals, since they always claim to go “dumb”! Speakin’ of Louisianimals,
Happy 25th Birthday to…
Yes,
I met Fredo Bang last year, on
September 6th, in New
Iberia, LA! Not just
once but TWICE, due to a shootout at a club! I went to tha hotel right passed
tha club to kick it wit one of my Louisianimals & Fredo followed us there!
He even claimed that I “followed” him but he ain’t put 2 & 2 together of
why I was there. Anyway, how “dumb” (crazy, as it means to me) will this
starting song go…?! >>> Seems like anticipatin’ music from Mr. Alesso,
with tha way I hear it. I’ono about these vocals, especially Spanglish male
ones? Either way, I like tha chorus, in a way; sounds more like an R&B song
crossin’ into tha dance world? Partially catchy, partially cringy; that’s how
I’ll keep it. My Rating: 3.1
EDIT: Lol @ my “Spanglish”
bashin’; it’s Korean, accordin’ to what I read up on it!
02.
Lost Frequencies “Rise”
Label: RCA
Not really an artist I anticipate; how will this new single go? >>>
Yeah, it’s his typical, male-soundin’ vocal tracks, here… Hearin’ tha chorus
& it’s anotha cringe-soundin’ one, with those lyrics… At least this track
seems to have a slight save with its climax to tha drop… Oh, even a
catchy-soundin’ drop, too? That’s double tha “slight save,” as I previously
called it. Kinda like Aless’ & CORS’, with their vocal
sounds/partially-soundin’ right qualities. Overall, glad I liked tha climax to
tha drop & tha drop; I’ll give it a lil’ more credit than “Going Dumb”. My Rating: 3.7
03.
TELYKast with Loren Gray “Nobody To Love (LM Mix)”
Label: TELYKast
Seen
a Siriux XM BPM story post about this track, via Instagram… Likin’ that they
got this new one out, despite me not gettin’ ready to play their previous PO appearance (was gonna add Friday). Now, looks like tha
both of ‘em gon strike at once! TELY-TELYKast! As far as this one, I can’t wait
ta hear…! >>> Likin’ tha beats, female vocals & catchy vibes, once
again! Glad they got great-soundin’, self-released tracks goin’ on fa 2021!
Catchy-soundin’ chorus & drop; definitely official! Hope they generate
success with their hot singles! My
Rating: 4.5
04.
Kaskade & Ella Vos “Miles To Go”
Label: Monstercat
Seen
this one around, too, but didn’t get a chance to hear… till now. >>>
Sounds like a nice lil’ slow jam from Kas’ & his collaborator chick. Sounds
like tha vibe blends in with today’s deeper-soundin’ vibes of today? Not
too-too bad; sounds like a nice chorus & drop, as well; good notes…! Also,
good follow-up from “Solid Ground”, as tha topic of gettin’ tha world back
together’s “Miles To Go”, like this song says! Determination! My Rating: 4.2
05.
Disco Fries x Molly Moore “Dumb Things”
Label: OH2
Let’s
get it! Anotha “dumb” in tha title, already, lol…! >>> Sounds like a
cool lil’ chick with tha D-Fries, here; good shit! Compared to previous Disco
Fries-type tracks, tha beat here’s a lot more plain. Kinda goes with all tha
slap-houseness of today. Either way, I think tha chick on tha vocals cool, here
& it still makes out for a hot lil’ track for today. My Rating: 3.8
06.
Lucas & Steve x Blackstreet “No Diggity”
Label: Spinnin’
Looks
like an interestin’ collab but will tha ‘90s be worth it in tha ’21?
>>> Nice lil’ intro, as Blackstreet comes in… Sounds like an okay 1st
verse from Blackstreet, in 2021… Hearin’ tha chorus & damn, a lot drier of
L&S than I expect…; tha slap-house curse? Then, more of tha chorus with a
better sound & more-dance drop? Lol, lots of combinations of things, here…
For a remake, a lil’ on tha decent side, overall; glad there’s some excitement,
too. My Rating: 3.6
07.
Dom Dolla “Pump The Brakes”
Label: Sweat It Out/Arista
Got
ta add this one, just two dayz ago. However, it got added without an official
full listen! That means, it’s already ready! R-R-Ready!! >>> Likin’
tha lil’ intro, here; of course, tha beats get you goin’! It’s like if “Take
It” had a 2021 sibling or somethin’; that’s how I feel about tha Dom Doll’
voice & dope/energetic house music! Sick drop; always be luvin’ how Mr.
Dolla comes through on tha track!! Likin’ how tha ending chorus has less music
goin’ on, to make it a lil’ interestin’…! Also, nice “brakes”, at tymes! My Rating: 4.8
08.
Sam Fischer & Demi Lovato “What Other People Say (R3HAB Remix)”
Label: RCA
I’ono, here; looks like it gon be just a pop song, remixed, than a dance
collab… >>> Usually, I have a good vibe for Demi but it seems like
everytyme she enters a DR edition, tha track/remix doesn’t catch on with me.
That’s how I feel about this; not too great… No matter with some faster-soundin’
‘HAB music, this iz too poppy for me. Even with tha dude comin’ through with
Demi; not really for me, Sam… My Rating:
2.6
09.
LODATO x Devan feat. bby ivy “Feel All My Lovin’”
Label: Spinnin’
Felt
like tha previous song, “Good Thing”, got good exposure; congrats on its
success, even tho it got blahhhh in
due tyme. With this new one… >>> Sounds like some nice music; diggin’
this collab, especially with this chick on tha vocals! Cool lil’ dance track;
hope it gets good exposure like tha previous ‘DATO tracks… (not ‘VATO, like tha
previous track on here, lol)! Good lil’ drop, too, as you gotsta “feel all” in tha “lovin’!” My Rating: 4.6
10.
Tom Grennan “Little Bit Of Love (Welshy Remix)”
Label: Arista
Not
too sure; looks like anotha pop remix? >>> Yeah, not really my kinda male
voice with that chorus start & unknown remixer. Just seems like a basic pop
remix to me; that’s how I channel its vibes. Nothin’ really else to say wit
this; on to tha next…! My Rating: 3.2
½tyme: Seems like it’s a
sea-sawin’ release, so far; a few I really like, while a bunch of decent shit
seems to get in tha way. Lots of males & cheese to go on top of ‘em, lol; a
3.8-rated
release, so far. I know a bunch of my low-anticipated tracks already got their
share on here. I know there’s higher scores to come…!
11. Franky Wah feat. LOWES “Not In Love”
Label: Three Six Zero
Good
collab, this looks like; lookin’ forward to hearin’ what they bring to tha 3…6…0! >>> Definitely likin’ tha
excitement & slowly-built start!! Also, dope-soundin’ beats goin’ on in tha
1st verse, here! Excellent-soundin’ LOWES!! Definitely feelin’ tha
power on this one, especially with tha drop! Now, that’s how you make tha
slap-house shit slap! Also, to go
with tha drop, definitely nice with how Franky adds to it! Great job with High
Contrast & CamelPhat, previously; glad they got this one as their best for
me…!! Surprised review for me; I must be really
feelin’ tha vibe!! It’s also okay to “not” be “in love”; good goin’, LOWES!
Also, dope-soundin’ ending part; keep on singin’…!! My Rating: 4.9
12.
Guz “Set U Free”
Label: Sink Or Swim
Not
sure of what to expect; what could tha hint be of “radio edit” on this edit,
here? >>> Got it! On tha house tip, here, just providin’ its edit
along tha way… Not 100% sure if I recognize tha vocals of somewhere in tha past
but they’re definitely catchy for this track, in a house format…! I’ll give it
its catchy props, for tha hot-soundin’ houseness! “Tha only key that’ll set u
free”! My Rating: 4.3
13.
ONEDUO & Emily Vaughn “Leave This Place”
Label: Robbins
After
tha whole “Easier” collab, I’ve always wanted to see if this Emily can get to
be acceptable, since she looks stunning…! >>> Sounds like a good lil’
start; almost reminded me of Linney or Meghan Trainor, at first. Sounds catchy
with what’s she’s bringin’ with tha ‘DUO! Glad tha beats are more excitin’ than
boring/slap-housey! Great vibes & chorus from Emily! Almost sounds like
“This Is What You Came For” with tha “you, you…” part, lol? Keep luvin’ tha
“place,” Emily! Gotta appreciate it!! My
Rating: 4.4
14.
LNY TNZ “Just Do It”
Label: FVCK GENRES/NHMM
Lmao @ tha label & NHMM collab! However, not as fast as I thought tha TNZ
would be? Guess that’s what that label name means to me, lol…? >>> Not
too sure if I can appreciate these male vocals… Cool lil’ beats but almost
seems like anotha iffy male track. “Just” an okay chorus but tha drop cool for
today’s dance world. Seems like an okay track, overall; it’ll prolly get out
there in a big way? Seems like a mainstream-soundin’ track; best of luck… My Rating: 3.5
15.
Breathe Carolina
“23”
Label:
Spinnin’
Read
some bad reviews on it, tha other day (YouTube); guess it’s tha “FVCK GENRES”
attitude of sound-shifting? >>> Yeah, I’ono how much I can appreciate
a pitched-down BC. I really like how they put all their energy into tracks just
years ago. I’ono about tha slower route, tho; I try to appreciate them, tho.
Just seems like a song that’s forced for catchiness (“ba-ba-ba-ba…”)? My Rating: 3.7
16.
Phil Soda “On My Own”
Label: Robbins
Anotha
Robbins track in tha buildin’, so fast! Say less, lol! >>> Really
likin’ how it starts off with a female; ain’t expect a female! Cool lil’ track
& mysterious chick, like tha previous ones on here! Definitely a dope
chorus & way it leaded—well, dipped
its way in! Also, definitely major props to tha drop part! Pure brownie points
for awesome energy!! My Rating: 4.8
17.
Noizu feat. Annaca “Summer 91 (Looking Back) (220 KID Remix)”
Label: Three Six Zero
Anotha
appearance from this great track from tha previous DR edition…! >>>
Seems like a cool lil’ vocal touch on it; same chick I know of for this vocal
version, too? Found out tha other one’s name of tha chick was Annaca;
definitely a plus. Likin’ tha extra life this song seemed to bring on, here…!
Great job from tha 2-2-0 K-I-D on tha remix; I’ll give this mix a plus, just
like tha original. My Rating: 4.5
18.
Doja Cat “Streets (Disclosure Remix)”
Label: Kemosabe/RCA
On
to this Cat, after she’s sometymes a split between played out & good for
achievin’ dance-related vibes… >>> Sounds like an okay remix; just a
cool lil’ decent vibe from Ms. Doja, here… Also, a cool lil’ vibe from
Disclosure, as well. However, kinda dries down throughout tha way? I usually
don’t criticize certain rappin’ appearances on dance tracks but tha rappin’
part seemed like it was a stretch of an interlude on here, especially amongst
tha short tracks on here. My Rating: 3.0
19.
Kastra feat. Nessi “Fool For You”
Label: Ultra
A
nice, new, slower release from our good friend, Kas’! Also, found out tha chick
on here goes by Nessi; definitely nice! I think Kastra does a great job at no
matter what pace it iz! Just add tha excitement & passion! Great job,
between Kas’ & Ness’! Awesome voice that
can continue in tha future; keep it up, y’all! My Current Rating: 4.6
20.
Alan Walker x salem
ilese “Fake A Smile (R3HAB Remix)”
Label: RCA
An interestin’ collab, between all them; let’s see what it do…! >>>
Tha slower ‘HAB—I ain’t realize it till I heard tha beats kick in… Sounds like
it’s an okay track, overall; tha chorus cool, at least. Oh, shit @ tha drop! I
ain’t realize tha beats went to a normal dance/house pace! Interestin’ to
randomly appear, after only seein’/hearin’ tha 100! Either way, despite those
interestin’ parts, it’s mainly just an okay track. I ain’t gotta “fake” this
“smile,” lol, ‘cause it’s real. My
Rating: 3.6
21.
Markus Schulz, Ethan Thompson & Soundland “Make It Last Forever”
Label: Coldharbour/Black Hole
A
slower side of Mr. Schulz? I’ono; thought it was gonna be tha fast surprise, at
tha end…! >>> Seems like an okay-soundin’ track; more on tha ending
side, too. Vocals from Mr. Ethan ain’t too bad on this track, includin’ tha
collab. At least there’s good vibes outta this track, overall. However, I’ono
how well it would actually do out in tha world? Cool lil’ chorus & drop;
I’ll give it nice props for its way of sound providin’ in tha drop, too. My Rating: 3.5
Overall: I played “catch &
sketch,” as I call it; I let all tha tracks play, back to back, without any
pauses (except from ½tyme). For this review, I really like how it picked up a
lot, toward tha 2nd ½; definitely nice! Lots of hit-or-miss tracks
with iffy males & a Doja, lol. Either way, glad there’s a lot of excitement
to offer, in tha upcoming May! Gotta keep tha faith; keep tha energy up! We
always here!
