Keepin’
tha older PO reviewz goin’, here goes my next
review to keep it goin’: Promo Only: Dance Radio February 2006;
time to continue tha year 2006 off! Once again, just like tha January one I
just reviewed: It gon be in tha perspective of it bein’ 2006, still. Start Time: 9:43 AM | End Time: 10:45 AM
Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much really love it, as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> “ iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after I type “ >>> “ iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it.

01. Jon Secada “Window To My Heart (George Acosta Edit)”
KTU
had this song and I got tha original version; really wasn’t anything special.
As far as this mix, it sounds a lil’ better that it’s dance mixed, but it’s
still just decent. My Current Rating: 3.7
02.
Jenny Bliss “See You Again”
A
Robbins song, here, and it sounds great to hear this kinda shit on PO! Great voice, beats are nice, but tha title kinda
yearns that endless journey of figurin’ out where Miguel iz. Like, “When will I
see you again?” Either way, great for 2006! My Current Rating: 4.5
03.
Stunt “Raindrops”
Oh,
I luv this song!!! MCD & iPR
showin’ this one luv; gotta luv those vocals of Molly Alice Smitten-Downes!!
Beats are definitely on-n-poppin’,
too! Samples Sash!’s “Encore Une Fois” and does a great job with it!! Should be a big
one fa 2006; can’t wait to continuously play!! My Current Rating: 4.9
04.
Better Than Ezra “Juicy (Nevins Remix Edit)”
Weird
on tha vocals, but catchy on tha remixed beats! I dunno how this’ll do with me,
but we’ll see… My Current Rating: 3.6
05.
Michael Woods & Judge Jules Feat. Marcella Woods “So Special”
Everyone
ID’d this as Judge Jules “So Special”,
but tha full ID was Michael Woods &
Judge Jules Feat. Marcella Woods “So Special”. Anyway, great song here that I should appreciate! Really feelin’ tha music
and tha vocals!! “You woke me up like coffee;” nice line! My Current Rating: 4.8
EDIT: Still a classic to play at
all times! It later reminded me of my
best friend, Lil’ Frankie, and how ironic: Typin’ this review, he came outta
nowhere with a Snapchat to me! Goes to show you that tha legacy continues!!
06.
Rent “Seasons Of Love (Gomi’s Lair Radio Edit)”
Party
105 premiered this one on December 26, 2005 @ 10:57 PM, and it’s a pretty
catchy tune! Couldn’t find it originally, so I had to edit tha club mix down to
4:47, but my beginning turned out to be tha same. Definitely feelin’ tha beats;
wouldn’t think of it bein’ a musical! My
Current Rating: 4.5
07.
Johnny Vicious Feat. Judy Albanese “Can’t Let Go”
Anotha
catchy tune, here, thanx to now bein’ on MCD! Nice vocals and beats are great,
too; good job, Mr. Vicious & this Judy singer! My Current Rating: 4.3
08.
INXS “Pretty Vegas (Johnny Budz Edit)”
Back
when I first saw this, I thought, “Hmm, never heard of tha artist, but Johnny
Budz’s on tha mix! Should be anticipating!” When I got to hear it, I thought it
was pretty dope! Definitely some catchy lyrics; like, who doesn’t like to
gamble?! And, that chorus’ soooooooooooooo
hot!!! Luv Budz and his beats!!! Keep it goin’, boy!! My Current Rating: 4.8
09.
Chantal Chamandy “You Want Me (Brian Rawling Remix Edit)”
Anotha
newbie for me and it shows anticipation! Luv tha lil’ chanting in tha
beginning, as well as tha dance beat! Later saw that tha remixer produced Cher’s “Believe”, so I can see where tha pure dance beats
are comin’ from! Nice lil’ female on tha vocals and it sounds great to hear a
new dance song like this! Straight from Egypt; gotta luv dance music comin’
from there at all times, right?! My Current Rating: 4.5
EDIT: In 2015, I can still remember tha label and BPM off tha
top of my head, despite only seein’ tha label once: Nine Muse Entertainment,
125 BPM!
10.
Britney Spears “And Then We Kiss (Junkie XL Remix Edit)”
On
December 1, 2005 @ 8:10 PM, Music Choice Hitlist got this and I was like, “Wow,
Britney has a pure-soundin’ dance
song?!” They didn’t list tha mix, but it’s Junkie XL doin’ tha beats! And, they
sound nice for her; sounds like she can pull off an official dnace song? Wonder
how tha pop world gon respond, in this dance-lacking pop world of today? We
shall see! My Current Rating: 4.4
11.
Herd & Fitz Feat. Abigail Bailey “I Just Can’t Get Enough (Freemasons Radio
Edit)”
Sounds
catchy; feelin’ those vocals and those FM beats! Kinda feels like it can remind
me of tryna find Miguel with how it sounds! Oh, what will this year bring outta
me? My Current Rating: 4.2
12.
Hi_Tack “Say Say Say (Waiting 4 U)”
With
a “Waiting 4 U” in parenthesis… A catchy sound, here, for a Michael Jackson
song bein’ remade like this… Beats are definitely catchy; props fa iPR fa
gettin’ this! My Current Rating: 4.1
13.
Carl Cox Feat. Hannah Robinson “Give Me Your Love (Valentino Kanzyani Mix)”
Hannah
Robinson on tha vocals, here… A catchy-soundin’ dance song; can’t complain
about how this sounds! My Current
Rating: 4.0
14.
Heather Headley “In My Mind (Freemasons Radio Mix)”
Don’t
remember this one, exactly; gonna have to rehear! *Rehears* Still has that nice
FM beat! This’ll prolly do good on dance outlets; we shall see! As far as tha
vocals, they’re okay; this track ain’t too bad… My Current Rating: 3.8
15.
Aurora “Real
Life”
A
Party 105 song that premiered on December 30, 2005 @ 8:01 PM and it’s HOT!!
Really feelin’ tha vocals and tha music’s definitely
hot!! Sounds like a great, late night-type dance song, right chea!! Hope this
does great with everyone! Would luv to see it go up on Party 105’s playlist,
since it’s in late-night rotation!! My
Current Rating: 4.7
16.
Three 6 Mafia Feat. Young Buck, 8Ball & MJG “Stay Fly (Johnny Vicious Radio
Edit)”
You
know it’s official when a rap song, especially from tha south, gets
dance-remixed!! And, this one sounds interesting! Luv that they all come
through nicely! Of course, because
this song went pop, that’s why it’s gettin’ its remix exposure! Great job! Then
again, in tha spring of 2006, this song created a lotta controversy around me.
When debuting on here and iPR, tha featured artists were not credited; tha
features are Young Buck, 8Ball & MJG. When iPR suggested adding
Chamillionaire & Krayzie Bone’s “Ridin’”, someone posted on their forum
about tha song, without sayin’ Krayzie Bone’s name. So then, I said, “Maybe,
they should give credit to Krayzie Bone if they air it, unlike what they did to
‘Stay Fly’.” Then, tha forum, including Will Calder, kinda went at me and said
that tha features were “pointless.” Since that argument, I give credit to every single artist on every single song!! I go vocalist
searching and all that! Yup, since I was 17! It’s worth it ‘cause I’ve
connected with more artists since! My
Current Rating: 4.3
17.
Angie Stone “I Wasn’t Kidding (Freemasons Radio Edit)”
Even
more FM on this CD, lol! I don’t
remember this one, so I’m gonna have to give it an official review…
>>> Nice beat start, of course; luv their pure quality!! Sounds pretty
good, I guess? Should get some nice exposure out there, since everyone luved
her 2002 “Wish I Didn’t Miss You” joint… Tha chorus sounds pretty nice, here; a
nice track, overall, I must say! My
Rating: 4.2
18.
Black Fras “Moving Into Light”
LOL,
this song; sounds so calm, innocent and vulnerable! Either way, it’s kinda
catchy; not sure if it’ll make my playlist, though… My Current Rating: 3.7
19.
Cyndi Lauper “Time After Time (J&C Remix)”
A
nice lil’ remix to resurrect this song; shout out to whoever J&C iz… My Current Rating: 4.0
20.
Andy Bell “Crazy (Original Radio Edit)”
Luv it!!! Premiered outta
nowhere on MCD on November 3, 2005 @ 8:48 PM and what an anthem!! This Original
Radio Edit has tha intro and in-between parts shortened, but it still has tha
same beat! Great song to go “crazy” about someone in a passionate way!! Just
gotta guide yourself to a successful
friendship!! Even though I was 17 when this came out, I’m almost 27 and I still go through these kinda shits,
tryna create a successful friendship! My most-recent failure was this kid
Tyler, from Carbondale, PA, a phase that lasted from July 20, 2014 –
September 7, 2014. It’s actually his mom’s birthday today, so for me to give PO all these reviewz on her birthday for this eNewsletter’s
like PERFECT
REVENGE!!! Ha ha ha, I’m gettin’ out there more while he just
fails!!! I mean, I have my best friend, Lil’ Frankie, on Long Island, as well
as my co-workers, but I hate tryna attempt a friendship and just fail…, still! My Current Rating: 4.8
21.
Randell & Schippers “Alice In Wonderland”
I
actually never heard it, lol. DRC Entertainment’s tha label… >>> ROFL,
kinda like how tha last song on PO was for
Willy Wonka, this iz for Alice In Wonderland! Kinda sounds really cheesy,
although that chorus’ soundin’ catchy by repeatin’ tha title… Wow, what a weird
song!! If this was 2015, it would have some sorta sexual thing in it, lol… But,
for 2006, this has a virgin sound to it. Wow, look how long this song iz, too!
Really? 4:27? Gettin’ even more cheesy with this “jive turkey!” Now, it sounds
like a Disney movie toward tha end with tha bridge; wow… My Rating: 3.3
Overall: Lots of big anthems on
this CD! PO did a great job wit this one!
Seems like 2006 gon be a big year fa dance music!! Let’s keep tha movement
goin’!!
