here's my review on Promo Only Dance
Radio July 2006. I didn't look at the tracklist for this issue, so I'm
gonna be surprised at the 21 songs!New rule for me: I will give each song a # of stars:
* = Not interested
** = Okay
*** = Banger
**** = SPECIAL BANGER!

1. Christina Aguilera "Ain't No Other Man (Radio Edit)" -- Dance??? This makes it and Madonna "Hung Up" doesn't??? Especially if this song iz produced by DJ Premier (Hip-Hop producer)...a$$ censored??? Thumbs down! Really like the song tho, but this CD DOESN'T start with a banger, ESPECIALLY if this song iz NOT Dance! Rating: * <- Due to "a$$" censored
2. Paris Hilton "Stars Are Blind (Tracy Young Radio)" -- Paris Hilton's 2nd song!
Second Dance remix! Almost as good as
"Screwed (Alex G Remix)". Tracy Young did a good job remixing this
song! Thumbs up on a better quality than the older one I had! Rating: ***3. Avalon Superstar Feat. Rita Campbell "All My Love (Soul Seeker Radio Edit)" -- Knew what it was right away...I think I had this remix in April...I think how Soul Seeker remixed this song that you don't hear that hot music that's far in the background. This mix sounds more like a late night mix than the one played on Music Choice Dance. Rating: ***
4. 4 Strings "Sunrise (Radio Edit)" -- Ooh I'm liking this song! It's got a Trance feel to it, with no words (FINALLY a song with no words)! ^_^ Rating: ***
EDIT: So this iz the 4 Strings song!
5. September "Satellites (Radio Edit)" -- Ooh nice song! I think I recognize this now....was gonna be one of my later Pump It Or Dump It's during the week, so now it won't be, but hot song. Rating: ****
6. Mark Knight Feat. Katherine Ellis "Insatiable (Original Radio Mix)" -- LOOK WHAT WE HAVE HERE!!
I've had this song ripped for about 7 weeks
now, and now finally, IT LANDED on PO! Love the vocals on this, unlike
"Shiver" with Lee Coombs... Rating: ****7. Rihanna "Unfaithful (Tony Moran Radio)" -- Lucky number 7...wonder what it iz...sounds like a Tony Moran & Warren Rigg Remix of "Unfaithful". That intro sounded SO HOT, and the vocals sound a lil' different (maybe that's my surround). Love how that chorus sounds!
Rating: ****8. Pleasure Center "Getcha Some (Original Radio Mix)" -- Hmm...don't know the song...sounds okay. The music iz nice. Rating: **
EDIT: PLEASURE CENTER?!? :shock: :shock: Definitely like better now!
9. Benassi Bros. Feat. Naan "Feel Alive (Radio Edit)" -- Sounds like Benassi Bros.! :!: Pretty hot song. Everytime I think of BB I think of my mom. Rating: ***
10. The Veronicas "Everything I'm Not (Jason Nevins Remix Edit)" -- Music Choice Dance has this...The Veronicas have scored it 2 for 2 with Dance remixes! :!: A remix that's great for me. Rating: ***
11. Lasgo "Hold Me Now (Radio Edit)" -- Iz this Lasgo.....? Not bad for a song. Something that would sound like it could grow on me. 2nd new song Robbins signed recently I guess. Rating: ***
12. D'Andre "Whatever (Pathos V2 Mix Radio)" -- This sounds like a hot song! :!: Rating: ****
13. Richard 'Humpty' Vission "Somebody (Radio Edit)" -- An old Music Choice Dance song (they got in like November 2005). Unfortunately, I think this iz just okay. Music Choice Dance's mix iz better. Rating: *
14. Plumb "Cut (The Remix) (Bronleewe & Bose Radio Edit)" -- Hmm...the vocals and music iz aiight. I don't have much to say. This song would be better at the end of the CD IMO. Rating: **
15. Junkie XL "Today (Radio Edit)" -- Sounds like it's a remix to something.....what could it be?? Oh wait...this sounds like The Lovemakers...ahh I'm good! DAMN that music iz BANGING after the 2nd chorus! :!: :!: :shock: Rating: ****
EDIT: Nope not TL. It's JXL! Weird 'cause "Yesterday's" iz on Music Choice Electronica and "Today" iz on Promo Only Dance.
16. Matt Darey vs. Tall Paul Feat. Larry Love (Alabama 3) & Don Jackson (Headstrong) "No Submission (Radio Edit)" -- Another male vocal rock mix...sorry I don't like it. I don't even have a clue what it could be. :arrow: Rating: *
17. Henri "When You Walk Away (Scotty K Radio Mix)" -- Sounds like she could be someone I know, but I can't even think of anything...the music sounds kinda dead. The vocals are not the best. This sounds like it could be one of those "mysterious" club songs. Rating: **
18. Roger Sanchez Feat. Lisa Pure & Katherine Ellis "Lost (Radio Edit)" -- Another one that could remind me of something that I might've seen on Clubland...That chorus sounds nice. Rating: **
EDIT: Roger Sanchez & Katherine Ellis?!? :shock: :shock: Damn I would've gave a WAY BETTER rating!!
19. Jill Criscuolo "I'm Sorry (Masi & Mello Club Radio Edit)" -- Sounds like a remake...I don't have much to say about this song, although figuring out what this sampled iz drivin' me nuts! Rating: **
20. Russ Castella Feat. Elissa "Truth (Mike Rizzo Global Radio Edit)" -- Nothing special. Rating: **
21. Chelo "Cha Cha (Dave Audé Cha Edit)" -- THEY SAVED THE BEST FOR LAST!!!

ANTHEM!! Rating: ****Overall: Beginning made it anticipating, ending may have thrown me off, but lemme fill in all the artist/titles now, and I will edit my comments with an EDIT if I have to. Yes, I had to make some edits! Pleasure Center and the Roger Sanchez/Katherine Ellis collaboration surprised the living $hit outta me! This iz what happens on "blind" listens! :lol:
Great CD (mainly the first 1/2 of it)! Highlights were the 4 Strings song, September's song, Insatiable, that HOT "Unfaithful" remix, Pleasure Center's song, D'Andre song, JXL's song, RS & KE's song, and Chelo's HOT remix! Benassi Bros and Lasgo are nice to hear as well!
Not as good as June's, but it's great!SPECIAL BANGERs (****) x6
