Here
goes my review for dat Promo Only: Dance Radio April 2015! April
Fools Day; how will it turn out??? Oh, and I had to fix up all tha
artist/title/filenames ‘cause when I burned tha CD, it came up with nothing labeled
(e.g., “Track 01”). Start Time: 9:39
PM | End Time: 11:03 PM
Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much really love it, as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> “ iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after I type “ >>> “ iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it.

01.
Zedd feat. Selena Gomez “I Want You To Know”
Interscope
on tha label, here… Lots of people got this song, includin’ pop stations, so I
knew this was gon be #1 on this CD. I feel like it’s gonna be one of those
played-out collaborations. Just sounds like a regularly-produced dance-pop song
to me; okay to play, but I’ll prolly still hear it way more than me gettin’ to
play it. One line that catches my attention: “I’m all yours like in fractions.”
Drop’s pretty good, too, while tha chorus’ anthemic! My Current Rating: 4.3
02.
Axwell /\ Ingrosso “On My Way”
Def
Jam on tha label, once again. P105 got it and I anticipated tha title ‘cause
it’s tha same title as this rap song I’m diggin’, right now! LOL, could I’ve
imagined a remix? Naw, I’m just playin’! But, this sounds like a unique
follow-up. Vocals sound a lil’ catchy, especially when it hits “tha [chorus]!” Sounds like a song about goin’ to rehab? “I’m
gonna hit tha bottle;” “And, if I hit rock bottom;” rehabness! Could’ve asked
for a better drop, but it still sounds nice. Now, adventurous music, as I did
my travelin’ earlier this weekend to abandoned buildings! This got its first
iPod spin with me as I was “on my way” to one of my adventures, lol! My Current Rating: 4.2
03.
New World Punx feat. Cara Salimando “Memories”
REALLY lookin’ forward to this!!
Saw it on tha tracklist and you know
I had to get my mind right and high for this review!!! Can’t wait to hear it!!
Thought it was gonna be a Spinnin’ release, but it’s from their ownselves, New
World Punx Music, as tha label!! >>> Feelin’ tha slow intro, includin’
all tha “thanx” she gives! Nice climax and chorus goin’ on, here!! Definitely
feelin’ how it’s about “moments;” gotta luv all tha “moments” I have!! Tha drop
sounds pretty nice, too; can’t complain! Nice 2nd verse goin’ on
here, too; just luv her dance-y
voice!! My Rating: 4.5
EDIT: Lookin’ online and
interesting: New World Punx = Markus Schulz & Ferry Corsten! From Discogs:
“The name derives from Markus Schulz’s hit, “The New World”, and Ferry
Corsten’s massive anthem, “Punk”.”
04.
Hardwell & Tiësto feat. Andreas Moe “Colors”
Ultra,
here; let’s see what we got!! >>> A decent start between tha music and
vocals, here, though a lil’ better with tha pre-chorus… Okay, soundin’ better
with tha chorus; pretty strong! Tha drop’s pretty strong, too; nice consistent
vibe! Funny how while this iz playing, I almost thought it was John De Sohn,
from tha previous singles, as tha main artist; random! Nice song, overall! My Rating: 4.2
05.
Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano feat. KiFi “Come Follow”
A
new song Music Choice Dance just got, with Spinnin’ on tha label. Lemme rehear
‘cause I remember it bein’ decent… >>> Almost gives you, like, a Swedish
House Mafia / John Martin kinda feel… Chorus sounds a lil’ better and so does
tha drop. Still, I dunno how much luck this’ll have with me, in tha future…
Last minute seems kinda long, but it now sounds like you just fell asleep,
lookin’ at tha stars in tha dark, wakin’ up at random times! My Rating: 4.0
06.
Watermat “Bullit”
Island
Records, here, so it’s a major label release… However, 122 BPM? Deep house,
anyone?? >>> Sounds like bein’ on a boat? An okay, slow start… Now, at
:32, it sounds like you’re on a plane with that synth, lol? Interesting, weird
instrumental dance song! Sounds like a great song to get lost to while you’re
high! Thinkin’ right now, it’s like, this iz not even 3:00 in, yet? Wow, only
3:13 on tha length; thought it was a lot longer! Seemed so long to progress!!
Very cold ending, lol! My Rating: 4.3
07.
Nervo “It Feels”
Ultra
signin’ this one… Oh yeah, I remember from tha info on tha tracks from when I
first saw tha tracklist: This iz 2 of 3 songs in a row that have 3:13 on tha length!! What are tha odds?!?
>>> Nice vocal start with this slow-soundin’ start… I was gonna say,
there’s a lotta songs I neva heard, before, on here! Nice and exclusive start
to this CD, it seems like! Nice lil’ chorus; just sounds like a regular song ta
me… A lil’ plain-soundin’, at times, but finally, a drop at 2:23; sounds
better, now! My Rating: 4.1
08.
Goldhouse “When I Come Home”
Anotha
3:13-length & anotha self-released song on this CD, already!! Felt their
“Dark Horse” remix from tha 2/14 PO, so you know I’m anticipatin’ this one, too!!
>>> Damn, I thought it was gon be an instrumental dance song, but I
hear male vocals, here… Kinda ehh with tha 1st verse, but tha
pre-chorus sounds nice! Tha actual chorus’ aight, though sounds like it can be
on tha hit mixer tip… Tha drop ain’t too bad, though it sounded a lil’ better
with “Dark Horse” remix… My Rating: 3.7
09.
Tom & Hills feat. Thilia “Here And Now”
Ooh
@ tha ID; high anticipation level, especially with Tazmania on tha label!!
>>> Feelin’ these vocals, includin’ this slow-startin’ music… Almost
thought tha featured artist was Thalía, tha Mexican singer from tha ‘00s…
Anyway, this vibe sounds like tha beach or somethin’; ooh, “enjoy tha ambience
here and now!” My Rating: 4.2
10.
Jes, Shant & Clint Maximus “Hold On”
Looks
like a huge anticipation level, here!! Intonenation on tha label; neva heard of
it, before!! >>> Hope she never ages! Can’t believe she’ll be 41 next
month; hope she doesn’t feel old! Nice lil’ beat and that “feeling” in Jes’
voice’s great!! Nice chorus and tha climax’s buildin’ up; thought it would’ve
slammed into tha drop, but let’s see tha transition… Okay, a lil’ longer than I
expected… However, it ain’t too bad; just sounds like tha song’s progressin’…
Tha 2nd chorus sounds much betta! Nice sound effects in tha beat! My Rating: 4.2
½time: A good-soundin’ CD, so
far, though most of my ratings seem plain. Like, a lot of ‘em are nearly tha
same… With that bein’ said, at least it’s a 4.2-rated CD!
11.
Treasure Down “Let It Breathe”
A
new Robbins song with an interesting-soundin’ artist name. However, I dunno if
this gon shock me; I don’t have faith for that 125 BPM pace… >>> Uh
oh, sounds like a remake of an R&B song? Tha chorus sounds slightly better,
but I dunno, this predicted-remake sounds almost average to me… Damn, no drop?
Bad transition to tha 2nd verse! Tha chorus sounded like it was
buildin’ up a surprise, but it came crashin’ down like a fuggin’ plane, lol!! My Rating: 3.6
12.
Zeds Dead & Oliver Heldens “You Know”
Party
105 got in their mixshows…; think it’s just a regular-soundin’ instrumental
dance song? Spinnin’, here… >>> Yeah, kinda regular with tha soundin’,
as most OH songs are… Yeah, too plain, here… My Rating: 3.2
13.
Malea “One Hot Mess (Riddler Radio Edit)”
It
took a whoppin’ 13 songs for a remix, lol! Anyway, I think this gon be better
than her song on tha 4/14 PO! Once again, for
tha 3rd time on this CD, anotha
self-released single!!! >>> Music from Mr. Ridd sounds anthemic,
here, for a mainstream dance single… Tha vocals ain’t too bad, here; she looks
real good, too, when I found a pic of her on Facebook! Tha chorus ain’t too
bad, here, as well as Riddler’s drop. I may’ve expected more of a dance-y vibe,
but this iz still nice… I wish I would get into her songs a lil’ more,
instantly. Just like her last song, it has an anticipatin’ remixer, but tha
song turns out to be just decent, instead of really hot… Either way, stay on
your grind with tha music, Malea! My
Rating: 3.7
14. Super Square “Erase Me”
A
usually position on here for Carrillo Music’s releases, just like on tha 3/08
PO—*checks old PO review…* OMG, why am I SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO smart, ROFL!??! Lookin’
forward to this one!! >>> Didn’t expect tha female vocals, this time;
sounds like it gon be a better-soundin’ song? PO
says it’s a 14-second intro, but it sounds like 0 seconds to me, lol! Ooh @
:15; feelin’ that music and how tha vocals sound! Same thing with tha chorus,
too! Ooh @ tha drop, too! A lil’ dubstep-y but it sounds like a hot dance
song!! Holy, I wrote tha world, “sound,” four times in a soundin’ row—five!! In
Word, it’s to tha left (or right, depending on how this shows up) 5x in a row!!
Diggin’ how this has a 4:00 length, too! Could be my top-rated song? I might
just tie it with tha Cara collaboration! Really diggin’ this, overall! Hot
release from Rod Carrillo’s label, once again! My Rating: 4.5
15.
Kelly Clarkson “Heartbeat Song (Dave Audé Radio Mix)”
KC with her 19 Recordings & RCA label; no content warning this time, PO? “What tha hell,” as she says, lol. But, DA only 80 BPM? Drum N Bass? >>> Ehh, on tha trap side? DA, really? Kinda sounds like one of those younger producers can make! Kinda feels like an awkward song when I hear this; feel like it annoys me… Okay, it sounds like tha DNB style, a lil’ bit, on tha drop; impressive, though not feelin’ tha slow verse beats… My Rating: 3.1

16.
Pep & Rash “Rumors”
Spinnin’
Deep on tha label, here? Okay, bring on some deep house! >>> Sounds
like it gon be silly, but good/weird? Really distorted vocals with tha pitch,
here? Can’t even tell which gender this iz, lol! “Do our thang;” sounded so
corny, there! Ewe @ tha dry-ass drop at :47; thought there’d be a huge climax
to make me try and fall in luv with this song or somethin’, lol! Wow, what a
trippy song with those weird vocals that sound like they came from Mary’s
Grave, or a cemetery!! I’ll give it a generous rating for bein’ trippy, but
just on a decent level! Wow, ended it with that “do our thang” part;
W.E.I.R.D.!!! My Rating: 3.5
17.
Chris Brown feat. Tyga “Ayo (Jason Nevins Mixshow Radio Edit)”
Ehh,
not CB and his tryna-be-rapness… JN on tha mix, though only 119? Gonna see if
there’s some hot synths or somethin’ in here… Oh yeah, RCA label, here…
>>> Intro sounds like tha same song, but in a Nevins-added BPM style.
Weird/kinda annoying chorus, but it sounds like a catchy remix, here. S/O to JN
for followin’ me on Twitter, now, since I had been tweetin’ to him about
“Butterflies” (11/14 PO) bein’ on my playlist.
Okay, startin’ off wit Tyga on tha 1st verse, here… I mean, ‘blah,
blah, blah’ with tha “money” lines… Other than that shit, it sounds catchy, at
times… LOL, seems long! Yeah, CB and his rap style, here, on tha 2nd
verse; quit bein’ hard! Though, I have to say, even though I never added it to
my playlist, yet, I’m feelin’ one of his latest songs, “Bitches N Marijuana;”
surprised Music Choice Rap got it, though it’s CB as tha artist! Tha both of
‘em rappin’ on tha 3rd verse? Hear more of Tyga but yeah, very
random, here… Weird hit mixer, here, though it flows good with this high, for
tha moment… My Rating: 3.3
18.
Lost Frequencies “Are You With Me”
Close
to bein’ tha quickest PO length with only
2:15? Anyway, Ultra, here, and MCD got it not too long ago… Heard it and it
sounds very plain and boring; lemme rehear… >>> Yeah, tha slow, deep
house-soundin’ 122 BPM kinda gives it away; no comment on this song, here… Nice
dance sound effect at :57, but way too slow… Kinda gives me that vibe of that “Ohio” song from two POs
ago with those nearly-soundin’ country vocals… My Current Rating: 1.5
19.
Morgan Page feat. Lissie “Open Heart”
A
Party 105 song that later got to MCD; glad they’re back. One of my original
goin’-on-an-adventure collabs, and this sounds better than before, to me! As tha
previous releases, Nettwerk Music Group on tha label and this sounds nice to
hear! Even has a drop that sounds decent, too! Nice lyrics, too; great track! My Current Rating: 4.3
20.
Deorro x Chris Brown “Five More Hours”
Noooo,
lol! What’s with this song again, includin’ CB again?! Kinda wanted last summer
to be a fad, since that’s what that Tyler
friend of mine did, over last summer! Both tha “Five Hours” versions were a
part of that phase; ahh! Ultra & RCA join forces for tha label, here!
>>> A lil’ catchy, but I felt tha dry vibe of tha previous vocal
version better… Oh God, ear-bleeding vocals before tha chorus? Not feelin’ tha
vocals at all, especially that yodeling-soundin’ shit on tha chorus! Weird,
weird, weird!! And, tha drop, still… Oh, Deorro, just fart; I’m sure it would
be a better moment than this song, right now!! Watch this shit get beasted on; I bet it’ll go fuckin’ pop!! It’ll join
forces with “Uptown Funk” and just keep playin’, lol!! Only part I like on tha
chorus iz tha 1st ¼: “This right here iz my type of party!” My Rating: 2.7
21.
OMI “Cheerleader (Felix Jaehn Radio Edit)”
Almost
forgot what tha ending song was, but it’s ending in a shitty, slow way… MCD got
this and Ultra’s on tha label; ugh, low BPM! *Full listen now* >>> Not
feelin’ these vocals at all and this beat’s too dry and slow! Song and chorus
sounds like it’s beggin’ for pop attention! My Current Rating: 1.1
Overall: Ehh, this CD could’ve
been a lil’ better… Really, only two songs really gave me a great vibe on this
CD, but there could’ve been more! Had a bunch of anticipation levels, but they
ain’t pay off, too much. But still, nice effort, PO;
just luv reviewin’ POs in that zone!!
