Oh
boy… Well, my luck didn’t really go in tha right direction since tha last PO review… All within a few dayz, last week, I lost my
grandpa, my taxes got taken away & I found out my boy from Louisiana called-off for
tha 2nd time, tryna make a visit wit me! We are ‘pose to host an
upcoming video countdown I’m shooting, a music video & he was ‘pose to
witness me recap my Top 568 Songs of 2017. My mom wound up recappin’ tha songs
wit me (565 or 566 of 568 right, I got) but I may have a re-run when my boy
comes up! Either way, as far as Promo Only: Dance Radio March 2018
finna go, I have to say, all those shitty moments that happened to me last week
must’ve jeopardized tha tracklist ‘cause it looks like this gon be tha worst PO
review in a while! :( Also, length of CD: 58:01; really?!? Coulda fit at least
seven more songs on here! Did y’all forget that dance music has become a lot
bigger since 2013? In 2013, tha March edition had 18 songs, as well! Only a
3.7-rated review, back then… Won’t compare to last March’s, or even a decade
ago’s March… Either way, because of my low anticipation, I gon go backwards!
Tha 1st time in a 12-year period where I gon review backwards! Lol,
let’s see how this goes… I’ll just review backwards, but still have it typed
normal… I’ll even do a bonus backwards ½time, too…! Start Time: 7:27 PM | End
Time: 9:06 PM
Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much really love it, as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> “ iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after I type “ >>> “ iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it.

01.
CID “I Miss You”
Hexagon,
here, with, prolly, a kick-ass starting song, compared to most of tha tracks on
here! >>> Mighta got a sample of this from my browsing of Sirius XM
BPM’s last played… Kinda sounds random with tha vocals, here, as I’d expect
from a CID track… A random, but good, repetitive-soundin’ hook, with those Don
Diablo-like sounds on tha 2nd ½ of tha hook… I’ono, nothin’ too-too
special but still an “ahh-ight” song, as my boy, Doe-Doe says! My Rating: 3.6
02.
Paul Oakenfold & Amba Shepherd “Love Escape”
And,
could it be, a HUGE one??? I have high hopes, hopefully!! I feel like
this’ll distinctly differ tha ratings & make tha average seem like it was
really worth it (***PERFECT RATING***?)…! Perfecto, here, hoping for a PHENOMENIAL follow-up to “Waterfall”!! I
remember tha dayz where I didn’t have sky-high anticipation fa these two
artists! Now, look where we stand!! >>> Definitely has tha quality
start that I was expectin’! See, now if those other songs on here that had slow
beginnings had this kinda slow start, it would be well worth it!! Definitely feelin’ tha catchy vocals! Beats! And,
gotta luv when a part catches you off-guard!! Tha chorus sounds nice!
Definitely a great follow-up from “Waterfall”! Collabz at their finest!! My Rating: 4.9
03.
Maxim Schunk x Raven & Kreyn feat. Bishøp “Say My Name”
Enhanced,
here… Mighta gotten a sample from Sirius XM BPM’s last played that I can view,
here and there… And, now, an MCD add… Lemme get 100% focused and see what’s up,
here… >>> ROFL, not even close; musta been different songs? Now, we
got Promo Only: R&B Radio—back to
tha Urban Radio-like guess… Destiny’s
Child on tha remake, here… Completely different from what I expected, even tho
nice to have our good friend on tha vocals (Bishøp). More music from my Middle
School countdown, too… Drop has a nice, Don Diablo-like feel to it, which
creates more of an interesting blend with everything that’s goin’ on, here… My Rating: 4.2
04.
Jennifer Lopez “Us”
OMG,
no mix?!? An original version, lol…? Epic, here… Yeah, if J.Lo’s comin’ through
with an original version and it’s not no 70 BPM trap shit, but 124 BPM, it’s
gotta be worth it, right? Hope so… I know I was glad when she had those
dance-pop appearances on tha POs from earlier in this decade… There has to be some hope in this CD!! Another artist from my middle school
countdown who has three appearances on there! >>> This sounds more like it! Not boring like a bunch of
tha other songs… Kinda sounds like it goes by quickly? No drop? Oh, just a
longer chorus… Definitely sounds nice wit that lil’ deep-soundin’ drop… Hard to
believe it’s nearly-49-year-old J.Lo! Definitely feelin’ all tha vibes, here;
everything mixes great for everything for tha future! Just feel/anticipate
$ucce$$!! My Rating: 4.6
05.
Tiësto & Sevenn feat. Gucci Mane “BOOM (Black Caviar Edit)”
Casablanca
& Republic, here… Neva in all tha years
I’d been reviewin’ PO CDs that I’d ever
witness Gucci on here! Either way, on tha original version, I don’t remember
recognizin’ no Gucci… Promo Only: Urban
Radio? Regardless, anotha decent song… a remix from Mr. “CoCo Puffs”, lol?
>>> I like tha “neva gave a fuck”ish beginning start, here… First time
hearin’ Gucci’s verse… Neva woulda imagined this collab, even tho those dayz of
tha “Feel It” collab (1/10 PO—tha late ‘09/‘10
dayz). Still, I like how this sounds in a different way, vs. tha MCD original
version… Bass-bumpin’—“BOOM”in’ drop…
Overall, better attempt than some of tha shit on here, even tho just decent for
my dance taste buds, overall… My Rating:
3.3
06.
Purple Disco Machine feat. Joe Killington & Duane Harden “Devil In Me”
Another
120! Only with this, vs. “CoCo”, this a
brand-new one and not a weird one! Well, I neva heard this, yet, but it looks
like it’ll have a unique vibe with Duane on it, courtesy of Sweat It Out! &
NHMM (“True Love” from tha 9/17 PO)!
>>> Kinda sounds like a rock song’s vocals in tha beginning, instead?
Shittier than I expected… This so not
on tha level I expected it to be on! Bleh!! Too many dry or weird vibes on this
CD! Like, really? “CoCo” had more
dance-soundin’ vibes than this? I don’t even feel tha 120! Random “just wanna
be in my house” background vocals, at times, like, ewe… Doesn’t give me that
‘90s vibe that I thought it was gonna! My
Rating: 1.6
07.
Black Caviar feat. u.n.i. “CoCo”
Casablanca
& Republic, here… Boy, oh-fuckin’-boy, WTF? All over and I think to myself,
“Not even dance-soundin’,” but it’s 120 BPM, smh?! Of all numbers, my boy’s
birthday?! Just sounds more like a random rap song, but sad to say, as much as
it’s a shitty review for me, it’ll prolly get more recognition than some of tha
songs on here, surprisingly. Silly song…; silly content & a guilty
pleasure-soundin’ vibe, here… My Current
Rating: 2.7
08.
GOLDHOUSE feat. Cappa “Don’t Go”
Spinnin’,
here… A decent MCD song; not err-body should have this slow-dance pace goin’
on, here… It makes 128 BPM seem impossible, smh! Good vocals and a nice beat,
but it woulda been better if it was faster; still a decent song! My Current
Rating: 3.5
09.
Foster The People “Sit Next To Me (Flipside Remix Radio)”
Columbia, here… I liked their
previous release that I heard on college radio, “Loyal Like Sid & Nancy”.
However, I think this’ll be shit; I have that feeling, with tha way things are
goin’ on this CD… >>> An odd, slow start… Kinda like tha “sober”
start—oh wait, neva mind, they said, “It’s over;” wrong thought, smh… I’ono,
not really tha kinda vibe I wanted to feel… Funny how their previous PO
appearance, “Don’t Stop (Color On The Walls)”, remix by Karmatronic, from tha
4/12 PO, I ain’t like, at first. However, its
semi-fastness of 133 BPM at least made it have a chance. This, however, more on
tha boring side… My Rating: 2.5
Backwards ½time: Songs 10 – 18 only got a 3.5
for tha average CD rating…; yuck! A lotta tha past POs from last year were,
like, ranging in tha 4.5’s & shit like that! I’ono, I just wanna get this
over with…
Real ½time: Only a 3.4!!
Pathetic!! Even worse than tha backwards!!
10.
Kylie Minogue “Dancing”
BMG,
here, and here’s more of where tha
quality dance-pop’s at! Crazy how I’m editing my upcoming FTLD’z Top 100 Middle School Jointz video countdown—yes, it has
“Middle” in its name, lol! And, Kylie Minogue makes two appearances on there!
Crazy to know that she’s back and how it seemed like a while since we last
heard from her (with it bein’ “Timebomb” six years ago). Well, let’s see how
this one goes, vs. tha others… >>> Sounds good, as I expected, but
kinda less-anticipating with a slow pop beginning… Seemed like tha tracks from
tha past had more anticipation? Still, either way, a nice lil’ drop and still a
good sound for a comeback… Just wanted it to be a lil’ more dance-ier, since it has a form of
“dance” in tha title… My Rating: 3.9
11.
Zedd, Maren Morris & Grey “The Middle”
Interscope,
here; I’m just skippin’, PO! I wanna vomit!! I
hear it enough!! Promo Only: Pop Radio—oh,
Mainstream Radio? I’ono which one’s
worse to describe this?! This song, and why
it’s on here (instead of how I guessed “Get Low” was on tha 8/17 PO and it
wasn’t, but that was more dance-y), iz a perfect
example of how there should be way
more than 18 songs on here ‘cause of how poppy
this iz!! Ugh!! I’m just braggin’!! I’m all “Stay”’d out!! I dunno tha last
time I skipped a PO song but I know that this
tha 1st one I’m skippin’ since my high reviewz, starting back with
February 2015! My Current Rating: 1.0
12.
Hayley Kiyoko “Curious (Joe Maz Radio Edit)”
EMPIRE
& Atlantic on tha label, here… As much as I’m in tha mood for new music, I
still think this one gon feel too mainstream fa me? 2nd time hearin’
tha remixer after a year ago’s March CD wit Mr. Cee-Lo “Gnarls Davidson” Green (Barkley)!
>>> Not tha kinda vibe I’d expect from Mr. Maz but it sounds a lil’
better than average… Vocals sound kinda on tha quieter side (like a Steve
Aoki-featured artist like Moxie or someone)… Tha chorus sounds a lil’ catchy,
here… And, tha drop’s nice… Kinda sounds a lil’ better than what this track was
gonna turn out ta be? Lots of curiosity,
here, especially throughout tha 2nd verse… Gotta be “curious!” I
feel like, depending on with how my new work schedule’s goin’, if I get to be
listenin’ to a good amount of music, I feel like this’ll be a
better-than-average one fa me… My
Rating: 4.1
13.
Oliver Nelson & Tobtok feat. River “99 Red Balloons”
Damn!!
No break from tha anti-new!! Astralwerks, here, but now, izn’t this Promo Only: ‘80s Radio? >>> Crazy
to say that this sounds tha best outta some of tha shit on here, so far… I like
tha vibe in tha music and even these new
female vocals are soundin’ nice… Even tho it gon seem like a cheesy ‘80s track
playin’, tha new vibe makes this a lil’ more exciting… Still, y’all wish it was
’08 or somethin’, again, with dance artists makin’ all those remakes? I think
those dayz are long over, even tho this desktop computer I’m typin’ on’s from
’08! My Rating: 4.3
14.
Kilter feat. Gill Bates “No Games”
ecetc
on tha label… Thought tha label seemed familiar (Jump Jump Dance Dance “2.0”
(8/11 PO) and it iz… Feature looks like a
version of “Com Truise” (from Tom Cruise). >>> A weird, mysterious
start… Then, not as new-new as I thought… Here comes a remake of Serani’s “No
Games” from ’08 (tha ‘08ness iz back!)… Just like some of tha previous songs I
just reviewed, this ain’t nothin’ to cry—or buy—about!!
This gon be tha PO of all different genres!
Not Jamaican on these new vocals but Jamaican on tha original! Promo Only: Reggae Radio March 2018! My Rating: 3.1
15.
Disco Fries feat. Daisy Guttridge “Starting Fires”
Enhanced,
here, with more MCD… I feel like this whole entire CD already released or
somethin’? Not even sayin’ ‘cause of how I picked up Sirius XM BPM as a source,
too; these are all MCD… An okay song… I’ono how much I like it… Decent vocals
but nothin’ too-too shocking comes outta this track… Nothin’ negative, nothin’
too crazy…; dry but better than average? My
Current Rating: 3.7
16.
Crankdat “Reasons To Run”
Asylum…
Well, could be tha best song on here, even tho (in my backwards-reviewing
perspective) tha Paul Oakenfold & Amba Shepherd one prolly’ll be better.
That’s why I wanted to save that toward tha end and not review it 2nd,
with all tha shittiness on here… With that bein’ said, for this one, an
interesting follow-up to tha D-D-“Dollars”. I thought it was okay, at first,
till tha 2nd week, where I was makin’ a daily drive to Whitesboro,
NY (Upstate NY) and when this was comin’ on my iPod (courtesy of MCD, who’s
actually playin’ this, at tha moment), I felt tha lil’ bridge part (tha quieter
drop) and thought about how much success Doe-Doe & I gon have. Just luv
bits of euphoria and Crankdat has a bright future ahead of him, as well! Love
his unexpected beats and remixes! Hope he keeps it up! Catchy tune as we “run”
from tha fire! My Current Rating: 4.9
17.
Didrick feat. Adam Young “Ready To Fly”
Here
come all tha random tracks from Music Choice Dance… Monstercat, here… Yeah, our
vocalist may be autistic like me, but unfortunately, that doesn’t mean I’m
crazy about him… Also, I don’t believe in tha 131 BPM vibe; sounds more like ½
that with these slow vibes tha whole way round… I also think tha content’s
corny… Then again, us autistic people are cheesy in wayz, right…? My Current Rating: 2.4
18.
Axwell /\ Ingrosso feat. Trevor Guthrie “Dreamer (Jack Wins Remix)”
Repeatin’
from tha January CD and, as much as I believe in numerology having its effects
on my boy & I, don’t you think this a pure example? His birthday 1/20;
“Dreamer” was Track #01 on tha January CD (and, was Track #01 of 20). On 1/18,
that was tha 1st time he called off due to bad weather. Now,
“Dreamer”’s two track #’s are 1 & 18, smh! >>> Decent but tha deep
house-soundin’, dry-drop vibe coulda been used for a new song, instead… Also,
just realized, Axwell endin’ tha March PO, 18th track, no less, a
half-decade later (March ’13 was with Swedish House Mafia)! It bein’ a late add
& only 18 tracks was also my 1st PO
phone call, too!! My Rating: 4.0
Overall: Time to try again! I know
it been an unexpectedly rough month!

A
whopping 41.5-point drop (more than half this total score!!)
from last year’s March CD’s total score!! Well, I can see why… Last year, at
this time, Doe-Doe had just joined Instagram and made life much-more exciting!
Also, my debut Louisiana
trip was on tha way. This year, all that shit in tha intro of my review
happened to me and, I can see tha effect in this review! I always say it, and
it’s shockingly true! I feel like PO controls
tha future in a psychic way!!!
