It’s
that tyme fa anotha review, already…! Promo Only Dance Radio June 2023
iz here! I’m actually lookin’ forward to it, despite tha dark day of 2morrow.
2morrow marks eight years since my younger brother was found dead in my old studio
room. At least with these tymes in dance music of 2023, tha vibes have been a
lot stronger than usual. That’s why, I don’t see much darkness with tha new
music, these dayz. Then again, we’ll have to verify that with this review! Who
will do what? What will every1 sound like, lol? Start Tyme: 10:02 AM | End Tyme:
11:35 AM
Disclaimer: I type how I wanna type
(frequent use of “tha” instead of “the,” “iz” instead of “is,” “a”-ending words
instead of “er,” and a few others). I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating
iz my own opinion! I only please myself
wit my ratings! As long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it, I like it how
I wanna like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine
my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0
rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much really love it, as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I hear it! Any song can
earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ”
iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after I type “
>>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it. Sometymes,
I may not rate a song too high on its first listen, but in tha future, I could
be playin’ it more than a higher-rated song…

Shouse x David Guetta “Live Without Love”
Label: Hell Beach/ONELOVE
Looks like a promising edition to be able to review ASAP! Tha anticipatingly-good vibes of upcomin’ movie roles & bigger things come with tha awesome soundtrack of tha world! Here we go…! >>> A quiet but nice lil’ start with tha chorus kickin’ off tha track… Not too sure how well this gon do but kudos to its wins. Just seems like a cross between good & okay, for me… Alwayz good to have tha next anthem for tha world, at least. My Rating: 3.8
02.
ACRAZE feat. Paige Cavell “The Otherside”
Label: Thrive/Capitol
I feel like I should anticipate it more than his str8-up vocal remakes. I think this’ll be a good one… *Thinks of it vs. “Believe”’s “[Toca’s] Miracle” b4 2023’s “Miracle” [Calvin Harris & Ellie Goulding]…* >>> Off to a good, deeper-soundin’ dance start, here… Tha 1st verse not bad with these female vocals; tha chorus not bad, as well… Again, kudos to its wins, in tha future; seems like one of those OK tracks, like tha Shouse x Guetta one. My Rating: 3.7
03.
R3HAB x INNA x Sash! “Rock My Body”
Label: Spinnin’
Seems like one of tha few special appearances, courtesy of gettin’ a POOL 1st taste! Definitely alwayz a pleasure to see INNA on Dance Radio, even tho… SHOCKER!! Only her 3rd appearance since her breakout hit, “Hot”, from October 2009’s edition & “Sun Is Up” from May 2011’s! What a way to make a decade-plus comeback!! With that bein’ said, gotta still feel addicted to her awesome, Romanian voice!! Also, awesome to know how she collab’d with tha ‘HAB x Sash!...! Definitely feel her euphoric vibes, just like how she brought “Hot” to tha table! I do have to say, tho; she did look hotter back when she 1st came out, 14 years ago. Needless ta say, her voice, as an ‘80s baby like myself, definitely continues to carry on strong!! Gotta luv her & hope this makes her generate more success in tha world! Go, Romania, fa 2023!! I still hope to make it there one day, like I wrote those 2011 college papers on Romanian things! My Current Rating: 4.6
04.
Warren feat. EMMA LX “Time I Let You Go”
Label: Robbins
Anotha HOT one, just like INNA would say! Shout out to Warren collaboratin’ with this EMMA chick; definitely a way to celebrate success!! Also, a nice way to describe myself: solo, at all tymes! Only, with me, tha “let you go” dedicates to failed musicships—“musicshits,” I should say! Tha “let you go” feeling iz surreal & can have many withdrawals! Like, every day, since—still at tha same age, tha past 10 ½ months, somewhere along tha line, tha dude that smacked me in tha face two consecutive tymes pops up in my head. Havin’ to “let [them] go,” as well as their son misjudgin’ me, was pretty life-evolving! I can’t believe how much stronger & more special it made me but all tha music I heard over these past 11 months have been consistently awesome & pushin’ boundaries! I just stay to myself, most of tha tyme. With that bein’ said, definitely nice for Warren to alwayz bring some sorta euphoric vibe to tha table & tha EMMA chick for helpin’ me “let [people] go!” My Current Rating: 4.7
05.
Chris Lake & Aluna “Beggin’”
Label: Astralwerks/Capitol
This one a decent lil’ one that’s out there; I give these two props. I can’t believe it’s been a whole decade since tha dayz I first heard AlunaGeorge, b4 tha “You Know You Like It” 2014 tymes of Music Choice Electronica! Tha original, durin’ 2013! With that bein’ said, with this, I like how Chris applies some good sounds after tha whole chorus. Alwayz knows how to catch tha attention, all tha tyme…! Kudos to Chris & Aluna; keep it goin’! My Current Rating: 4.0
06.
John Newman “Hold On To My Love”
Label: Tomorrowland/Virgin
Thanx to tha POOL exclusiveness, it helped build a good relationship with upcomin’ songs, such as this! Even tho he’s had some cheesy music in tha past, I think he’s suddenly become awesome with tha production ideas & tracks! Definitely since tha violence, as his previous release, “Holy Love”, hovered during & after those tymes. It’s like we all evolved, somehow! Definitely gotta feel tha euphoria in tha continuous dance music! Also, Tomorrowland on tha bonus signin’, so you know it had an extra spice to its sound! I hope these euphoric anthems continue to dominate tha world, fa tha 2020’s & beyond! Keep tha euphoria comin’!! My Current Rating: 4.8
07.
Marshmello & Farruko “Esta Vida”
Label: Joytime Collective/Sony Latin
Don’t think I’ll really anticipate this one but we’ll see how it turns out… >>> Nah, I’ll pass on these vocals… “Marshmello,” Farruko said, at 0:50. Did I needed to be reminded? Well, I’ll give tha music after tha chorus props, on tha drop. Definitely has its plus but not enough of a plus to break through tha vocal cringe, for me. My Rating: 1.3
08.
Disco Fries x LODATO “Call Me Crazy (VIP Mix)”
Label: Spinnin’
A decent original version needs a boost; hope it’s worth it… >>> Sounds like a nice-&-energized start; I’ll give it a plus. Sounds like a good chorus/drop part that progresses through; music picks up at 1:04, which iz a plus. A good mix of pluses; good goin’, VIP style…! My Rating: 3.8
09.
BRKLYN “Ocean”
Label: Dim Mak
Alwayz look forward to them, though I’ono about tha slower route? >>> Sounds a lil’ catchy but I heard these vocals years ago, with Isaac Elton “Bottom Of The Sea”. Still drowin’ in Music Choice Lounge spins, four years later, smh! As far as this version, I actually like this better; I like how it separates itself with some boosted energy. Still, how will this do in tha world? My Rating: 3.9
½tyme: Only a 3.8-rated release, currently. However, there’s
a bunch of good & tha good will continue to shine, in & out!
10. Julian Cross feat. Afrojack “All I Need”
Label: Wall
Lol; on tha POOL player, as I look at tha label, I see 128 BPM & this appearance on this release says “129 BPM,” lol. I took a guess, scanned & my guess of it bein’ 128 BPM was… CORRECT! I’ve been a dawg at things like that, especially with tha push of my full-tyme! It makes me love myself more! >>> Not too sure how I can appreciate these male vocals, for this start… I’m guessin’ Mr. Jack’ll make tha music bop…? Likin’ tha energy, as tha chorus progresses…! Drop sounds like it has good energy; props on tha energy…! Overall, tha energy was worth it, though these vocals may take some tyme for me to adjust to… My Rating: 3.9
11. The Blessed Madonna feat. Todd Edwards “Fuck
What U Heard”
Label: Warner
Alwayz an interestin’ moment ta hear TBM come through. Now, how will TBM come through with this “FWUH”ness? >>> Sounds like TBM’s catchiness, gettin’ caught in a nice, dubbed-out first 45 seconds. Now, past 0:45, it sounds like some random female’s voice. I’ono about this random “refresh”ness… Now, at 1:32, tha male voice comes & sounds a lil’ ehh, for me. I may anticipate TBM, at tymes, though it seems like I’m thrown in to a rabbit hole that has a gumbo pot as its landing spot! Wow, I made that up, just now! 10:55 AM! With that bein’ said, this one iz just lost in its repetitive vibes that don’t have tha euphoria I’m lookin’ for. My Rating: 2.4
12. Bingo Players x Goshfather “Be Mine”
Label: Hysteria
I think this’ll be a good one… It seems like I must expect a BP track on tha June edition of this year, since I did that live review two years ago, on yesterday’s date! BP had an appearance 24 editions ago & now, tha tymes progress & roll in to… >>> Sounds like some good energy, as well as some okay male vocals, here… Sounds a lil’ more on tha catchy side, music-wise, with tha upbeat music! Definitely nice with that drop, though it kinda tosses me back & forward with tha vocals, right after… Regardless, definitely a thumbs up from me. How will this track do with tha people? Hmm… My Rating: 4.3
13. OTR & Devault “Apart Of Me”
Label: Astralwerks/Capitol
Not too sure why OTR & Devault went with tha bad grammar of “Apart,” rather than “A Part.” I’ono… You know me! As far as this new track, … >>> I know I’ve heard this out there, in tha dance world… It sounds like a cool lil’ track, regardless. Likin’ tha energy in tha dance music, as well as hearin’ this female on tha track. For tha most part, it sounds nice to hear, here… My Rating: 3.9
14. Morgan Page x farfetchd feat. The Dirty Rich “Runaway”
Label: Spinnin’
Looks like it can be somethin’ anticipatin’? Let’s see what we got, here…! >>> Oh boy, that warped-soundin’ male vocal in tha first seven seconds reminded me of a slap-house track comin’, here… Sounds like it’s some random, upbeat track to me? Sounds like tha energy Morgan brings to tha table, except four BPMs slower on this one. My Rating: 3.8
15. Calvin Harris & Ellie Goulding “Miracle (Mau
P Remix Radio)”
Label: Columbia
Lol, tha non-content-warned remix by Mr. “Drugs”! Still through tha “Hell” with this one, as Ellie says. A lil’ watered down, with this remix; not really that big about pitched-down ladies… A decent lil’ remix, kinda like how “Sideways” had its remix treatment, two years ago. I do like how Mr. P added tha original’s sounds, after tha 2nd chorus. Nice, at tymes, even tho a lil’ plain for a remix… My Current Rating: 3.9
16. Rita Ora feat. Fatboy Slim “Praising You”
Label: BMG
Alwayz a nice tyme to see Rita & always a legendary tyme to see Fatboy Slim…! Together, it’s a mix between a nice lil’ upbeat track, though a lil’ bit of inescapable “I have to praise you”s! Needless ta say, I would hope this gets some good exposure to more of tha mainstream than tha dance world. Sounds a lil’ like a special pop song than a euphoric dance song, for me. My Current Rating: 3.7
17. Hypaton x David Guetta feat. La Bouche “Be My
Lover (2023 Mix – Radio Edit)”
Label: Arista
I’ono about this one… Got lucky on tha previous edition when Don Diablo & Azteck sped up “You’re Not Alone” for their “Not Alone”. Now, we’re goin’ back to backwards with tha slower remakes… >>> Can’t really give this one props; again, tha chicks shouldn’t be pitched down, if tryna chase good euphoria! Especially, our girl who’s been gone fa almost 22 years! With that bein’ said, this iz just a random appearance, to me… My Rating: 1.9
18. Loud Luxury & DVBBS feat. Kane Brown “Next
To You (Adventure Club Remix)”
Label: RCA
Only 60 BPM?! Ain’t that Celine Dion-like, ballad-like, lol…? >>> Seems like a lil’ bit of a slow, dry start, especially with KB as tha vocalist. Ahh… Hearin’ tha drop at 1:05 & yeah, wow, 60 BPM! Gotta be tha slowest BPM on record for Dance Radio! Seems like a really dragged-out vibe with slow strengths of AC on tha remix. Don’t know how much I can really dig this, overall… My Rating: 2.7
19. Luude & Bru-C feat. Kevin Lyttle “TMO (Turn
Me On)”
Label: Warner
“Oh My,” as Luude would say! Can’t believe we’re endin’ it with a Kevin Lyttle remake! Who woulda known I’d be ready for that day, in 2023! Still, awesome for Luude to keep up tha beats to 180 BPM! Now, iz that tha fastest on record, this tyme, lol? What a transition! >>> As far as how this sounds, tha collaboration sounds nice. I just think it’s cringy with Mr. One-Hit Wonder, back from when I started my 1st tri-weekly playlist! I put out my 330th one, yesterday! With this, at least there’s some unique male vocals that add a lil’ new flava to tha track. I almost thought it was gonna be a whole sellout of tha whole “TMO” track… I think Luude should keep these dope beats comin’. However, instead of just copying tha original track’s vocals, make somethin’ new outta samplin’ tha original track’s unique music. Just like how “Oh My” was made, earlier this year… Also, if this was more 3D-like, analytic headz would be like, “Kevin Lyttle feat. Spragga Benz!” Yeah, that was tha Spragga Benz intro & outro, just like tha original (“alongside Kevin Lyttle,” lol)… My Rating: 3.0
Overall:
Seemed like a bunch of randomness in random forms, throughout tha 2nd
½… Most didn’t really measure up to my euphoric expectations but it’s all good.
There’s alwayz anticipatin’ music out in tha sea of dance music, at least…
Lookin’ forward ta seein’ how this next edition gon go, as I get closer to
exitin’ tha age of violence!
