FrankieThaLuckyDog doin' anotha review! Unlike it bein' my marathon, I'm takin' a quick emergency break 'cause Promo Only Dance Radio July 2009 iz here! I finally got it, although last night, I had a **SPECIAL** phone call fa 2 hours, so that put this review off (surprisingly)! Now, I'm reviewin' it! Here goes my review fa Promo Only Dance Radio July 2009! Because tha preview was back on June 22, I forget what tha hell on this bitch (1/2 of tha songs already leaked onto my sources). Start Time: 4:30 PM | End Time: 6:21 PM

1. I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings (if a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much REALLY LOVE it as it’s considered “mindblowin’” when I hear it) so any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating.

To tha artist/producer: Don’t get catchy feelin’s if I don’t like a song on a first listen. Things could change in tha future as I could love it, so you neva know!

01. Beyoncé "Sweet Dreams (Smash Mode Radio Mix)"

*YAWWWWWWNNNNN* Before I play it, I have ta say: Tha original leaked last May (2008) as "Beautiful Nightmare". I ignored it, and it didn't make my last year-end countdown. Now, it got re-released? And it looks like SM are tha new HM people... Low AL. >>> Ewe, slow start in tha beginning. :td I hate ta see it be a pretty below average start, but that's tha way it goes when dickridin' hits tha scene! Too early (of its re-release) ta be remixed; don't they wait months and months, lol? This couldn't be 3 minutes; it had ta be 4? :td Boring, but tha music iz a lil' over decent. Yea, just as I said before: it could've ended at 3:01, but no, anotha 1:03 left. :td I'll have ta see if this Aliciable 'cause I neva gave her tha orig. My Rating: 3.4

02. Jessie James "Wanted (Jason Nevins Radio Edit)"

I got excited once I saw this! I confused this wit a new male Pop singer, but no, this tha female chick that my age. I found some mixes (didn't realize PO got one), but this a new one, so let's see if I'll IC it! >>> She a Pop singer, although those vocals sound X-Tina/Country style. I have ta get more into it more 'cause she a hottie. I guess this mix can pass tha otha ones I heard. Pretty good song, although I wanted better. Again, JN wit that long-ass outro (17 seconds this time)! My Rating: 3.6

03. Paul Van Dyk Feat. Johnny McDaid "Home (Kaskade Radio Mix)"

Might be a typical decent rating for me, but we'll see. Not sure what will it be like, but wit Kaskade on tha 130 BPM side, it should be a nice mix. >>> Surprisingly, a better start than Jessie James' song. It's about time I got ta finally give these songs a FL! Above tha decent level; nice beats from Kaskade! Not bad vocals ta mix wit it; Kaskade + Paul Van Dyk = 2x tha DJ power. Good lyrics, so this iz definitely catchy. Good job on tha catchiness right here; nice collab! My Rating: 3.8

04. Alex Sayz Feat. Lawrence Alexander "Shame On Me (Summer Radio Mix)"

IDK what I'm going ta expect, lol. My unknowness makes me laugh, lol. >>> A new start, so that's a plus. :tu Once tha vocals came in, I thought it was familiar, but it not. I don't know about them vocals, but I guess tha music will surpass it. A lil' before 1:20 had tha Inpetto/deadmau5 style. I know this'll be big, but on a FL, it almost makes me think that this iz extremely new, and that I'm hearin' it first. Either way, pretty good "Summer" feel. My Rating: 3.7

05. Passion Pit "The Reeling (Dean Coleman Radio Edit)"

Anotha new one. I forgot if tha label was a borderline one or Dance... Lemme hear it and see what tight beats we got from DC on this... >>> Anotha song that sounds like someone else... LOL, I don't know. I know what this song iz (whoeva made tha original or whateva) 'cause I heard those lyrics in tha chorus. Sounds very random fa me... It seems like tha beat really draws tha interest to me vs. everything else that's goin' on. LOL @ tha mixin' goin' on at 2:45... Tha dubbin' or w/e sounds fucked up, but tha beat ain't! ;) This PO's gone weird!! My Rating: 3.6

06. Kelly Clarkson "I Do Not Hook Up (Ashanti Boyz Radio Edit)"

I liked her "MLWSWY" song that came out, but this one didn't catch on. I would hate ta see it catch on right now... >>> Good beat start, lol. Maybe this'll sound better. I saw Bimbo Jones did a mix on iPR. This iz good, although that chorus iz still weird fa me. Good job on tha hit mixin' here. That makes it luved on a 1st listen Song #1! My Rating: 4.1

07. P!nk "Please Don't Leave Me (Digital Dog Radio Edit)"

>>> I played it before I wrote anything 'cause I thought it was Miley Cyrus. LOL @ puttin' these 2 HMs together. I want ta yawn right now... It's boring, but Digital Dog at least brings some life into it. This P!nk mix might make my playlist, but it may do decent. LMAO @ "perfect lil' punchin' bag." Not much else ta say, but good HM. My Rating: 3.8

08. Bellatrax Feat. Tina Cousins "Can't Hold Back (Original Radio Edit)"

MUCH BETTER!!!!! Now, let's see a higher rating!! Been dyin' ta finally hear (as I wanted ta hear it here 1st)!!! >>> Glad ta see a single from Bellatrax again; those beats don't get boring!! It's a special sound (unlike Moto Blanco who's are boring)! Bellatrax needs ta do some beats that are a lil' faster. And speaking of bein' great ta be back, glad ta see TC on a song again! Holdin' tha vocals down and tha song down great!! :) Real nice song right here, and I like how iPR said they're "serious about playing this song soon!" :tu Glad my sources got a hold of this fast! My Rating: 4.3

09. Carmen Reece "Right Here (Dave Audé Remix Radio Edit)"

Looks REAL HOT on tha ID!! I can't say anything else... Lemme see how good it iz! >>> Hot start here; should be gettin' better! Glad she's keepin' it interesting! :tu Good shit here, and tha chorus iz REAL hot!!! Real hot vocals and tha lyrics do a good part in tha song too! No wonder why my boy BluBlack has a GREAT birth date (3/18) 'cause at 3:18, that part wit tha vocals sounded REAL HOT!! :) My Rating: 4.4

10. Miley Cyrus "The Climb (Smash Mode Custom Taylor'd Radio Edit)"
*Plays* >>> I wanted ta anticipate it, but MCD got it, and they play it here and there. Well, this song broke tha record fa longest PO song (5:07). I don't know if it deserves it though. Tha beat in tha 1st verse sounds like it's ready ta be nice and trancey, but it sounds boring in tha chorus; where's a build-up? Iz this really 140 BPM?! I really wanted a remix ta this (I know I only have tha Joe Bermudez & Chico Remix), but it should've been better than this. This may hit my playlist, but IDK. Lil' fact: On Facebook, they asked, "What 2009 song are you?" Tha answer for me came out ta be this song, lol! I wrote in my comments that I'm one of my undaground Louisiana songs, lol! I thought "Goodnight Tonight" was a long MCD song; now, they have this, which iz 22 seconds longer! I thought they couldn't handle long-ass songs, lol? What's gonna happen wit tha last minute here? It was pretty useless, lol; way too long! My Rating: 3.9

11. Sybil "Stronger (StoneBridge Edit)"

Prolly one of tha first MCD songs I see on here that they don't have, yet they don't get rid of songs, lol. I haven't heard it in a minute. Sybil iz an older artist (like 40+), and when this came out on MCD last month, it became one of my unexpected anthems of turnin' 21 'cause I was dealin' wit my "last minute assholes;" had ta ditch them! She kinda sounds a lil' old on this, but it sounds good wit that StoneBridge "The Fear" beat! And of course, tha lyrics are great fa me too! Wit her bein' older, I thought this would be on a borderline label, but no, Strictly Rhythm has it. Too bad this one iz real short. :( I guess that means more airplay fa me though! ;) My Current Rating: 4.3

½time: Very weird PO right here... Only a few songs were real good. I know tha 2nd 1/2 gon BLOW OUT tha 1st 1/2!!! Let's get it started wit whateva's #12 (forgot what it gon be)!! Average CD rating iz currently exactly a 3.9 (wow, it that high? I'm a lil' iffy about that, lol).

12. Fedde Le Grand Feat. Mitch Crown "Scared Of Me (Radio Edit)"

This anotha MCD song. Unsure of how I gon like it, but let's see... >>> Okay, a mix in tha beat in tha beginning, so this could be good. Iz that tha same Crown from tha Mischa Daniels song? Glad this sounds betta (and more normal) than some of tha previous songs in tha 1st 1/2! Catchy song, lyrics, and that beat here! Real catchy, so definitely passed my expectations! My Rating: 4.0

13. Kristinia DeBarge "Goodbye (Mike Rizzo Funk Generation Radio Edit)"
LOL @ this makin' an appearance on here too! For a good original version, it needed a betta mix, especially from MR, although I like tha consistent beat in this one! It still doesn't touch tha Jada remix of "American Cowboy"! I like how she says "swag" (no less, Donna Summer said it in her "Stamp Your Feet" song last year; ghostwriters, lol?). Sounded even betta hearin' it on PO, although for Alicia, I gave her tha orig. in April, so I might just throw this in a mega mix for her. My Current Rating: 4.1

14. Airscape & Jes "My Love (Radio Edit)"

Looks like a HUGE AL, although for Airscape, they're TRANCE artists!! Why iz this a typical, 128 BPM type beat? I hate ta hear a watered-down beat, but I'm glad they finally got back together (after I heard they broke up in '03) wit Jes!! >>> It sounds nice wit Jes on it, but this beat iz way too slow... Tha verse sounded great, and tha 2nd chorus sounds a lil' better. Tha 2nd verse sounds pretty good too. To prevent watered-down "beat-'barassment", there should've been a different set of DJs for this. Again, tha Inpetto/deadmau5 style around 2:15; why does every person have ta use that style?? My Rating: 4.2

15. Axwell, Ingrosso, Angello & Laidback Luke Feat. Deborah Cox "Leave The World Behind (Radio Edit)"

I think that's a record fa most people on one song (Dance music style)! We have 4 DJs and one vocalist! I saw mixshows pickin' this one up a lil' while back, so let's see what it's all about! >>> Doesn't sound like her in tha beginning; sounds like a random sample. Shit, I wonder what Deborah Cox song this came from ('cause I think it samples one of her songs)? Real nice beat here, and I didn't expect there ta be a verse. :tu Catchy song right here, especially it soundin' like a club song! My Rating: 4.1

16. Sean Kingston "Fire Burning (Jody Den Broeder Radio Edit)"

:rofl *Dies* :rofl He's had all these lil' poppy remake beat songs (that sounded dancey) in 2007; PO didn't want him then, lol? Just 'cause tha original version of this has a Dance beat, they had ta have DJs mix it, lol? I thought this song did nothin' when it came out. Now, it's on like 24x a day, LOL!! I had Dave Audé's mix, but didn't even listen to it, lol! So, my AL seems pretty fucked up fa this. I do think JDB will have a better mix! >>> Bad start here... LOL, why iz this like Electro style? Ewe, boring MCE style music in tha 1st verse. I think DA wins this battle, although tha original gets tha win, regardless! Ewe, "that little shorty;" :rofl I almost IC'd tha original version, but many mainstream Urban songs have been harder ta IC wit me 'cause of my interest in undaground, Louisiana (mainly Baton Rouge) Rap music; I don't care fa tha mainstream shit anymore, especially since a lot of it iz wack! What's even more funny iz that I NEVA gave this song ta Alicia; ROFL!! It would've been perfect fa her, but I put more Dance music on her last 2 CDs, lol!! My Rating: 1.3

17. Jessica Jarrell "Armageddon (StoneBridge Radio Edit)"

That last song confused me at first wit tha mix 'cause I thought JDB did tha mix ta this one too. Anyway, when MCD got this, they accidently ID'd it as Feat. Safire. I thought it was one of their errors at first, but that made me think JJ was in her 30's; she's only 14, lol!! I didn't know she was this youngin, but MCD has their good Joe Bermudez mix; let's see StoneBridge. >>> This might've been tha mix P105 just got. Tha original version ta this (heard on MCH) iz anotha song wit a Dance beat (144 BPM); iz like every Pop/R&B artist havin' a Dance beat in their songs now? Black Eyed Peas' new song "I Gotta Feeling" was produced by David Guetta; they're a Rap group. I think this iz a very random song; where are we going?? :rofl I think I like Joe Bermudez one better. It's a catchy-ass song fa me though wit that chorus!! But StoneBridge, does every song have ta sound like tha remixes ta "Closer" and "The Fear"? LOL @ throwin' tha chorus in at :20 left! My Rating: 4.2

18. Gia Bella "Back It Up (Dave Audé Radio Edit)"

Don't know who she iz, but this should be a REAL HOT one like tha otha DA remix on here!!! >>> Tha beat here (sound effects) sound like Beyoncé's "Halo" mix that DA did. I thought she would sound young (like JJ on tha last song), but this girl sounds older (meanin' 10+ years)? Pretty good/catchy, although not much I'm sayin' right now. Catchy lil' chorus, and pretty good. Nice lil' bridge too; likin' tha dubbin' on this song; hot shit! My Rating: 3.9

19. Melinda Doolittle "It's Your Love (Jason Nevins Radio Edit)"

Heard it on MCD not too long ago... I don't think I was that interested... *Rehears* >>> Good music fa whateva this iz (HM or Dance song), but I don't really care fa tha repeatin' in tha chorus. We'll see if tha rest of tha song picks up. She sounds Gospelish. No other interest in this one, so I don't have much left ta say. My Rating: 3.0

20. Steve Angello & Laidback Luke Feat. Robin S "Show Me Love (Radio Edit)"
LOL, 1/2 tha "Leave The World Behind" DJs are back, lol. Anyway, wit this one, Alicia had told me in March (I think), when I made her CDs, that, "you have ta put 'Show Me Love' on tha next one!" I was like, "how did that song hit her head outta nowhere? It from 1993." So, I put tha original version, and on her profile, I think it was this version; maybe she heard this back then? Speaking of this DvD shit, on MCD, one month ago, they got a Michael Mind version too. ????? >>> LOL @ tha intro; sounds like tha 128 Rap beats. Iz this tha same version as MCD? Then, maybe they ID'd it wrong? I think this tha same one they have. This wasn't necessary ta have a 2009 version. Nothin' ta say about this. My Rating: 3.5

21. C-Zanne "Perfect Storm (New Radio Edit)"

I think #9 was tha Next Plateau song on here, but I didn't even realize which one it was. Anyway, this iz my highest AL! I know Miley Cyrus had a watered-down/weird 140 BPM; hope this one iz REAL!!! If not, I'm gonna be REAL UPSET!! >>> This should be different 'cause Next Plateau don't sign no 140 BPM songs like this! Yea, this sounds like it more on tha vocal Trance style!! I was just about ta say, where's tha chorus? There it iz, and it sounds great!! :) Great lyrics, and HOT vocals on this GREAT beat/song! :tu My Rating: 4.6

EDIT: Damn, my brain must not rememba: #4 was a Next Plateau song. #18 no less was an Xtreme NYC Records song!

22. Rod Carrillo Presents Bodega Charlie Feat. DOSE Of Fulanito "Gringa Quiero Baila (Clean Radio Edit)"

Time ta end this review, sadly. I didn't want it ta end so fast, but aye, before you know it, tha August one'll be out! :) This looks like it gon be good, but how good? Glad ta see RC again wit more music! >>> I just realized what's bein' said in tha beginning iz what was said in tha background in "Oye Party". This sounds more borderline than "Oye Party", but I don't feel this one like that song. I think because this needs some sort of remix; bad move fa PO. :td I don't know what ta say about tha rhymes; I guess they go good wit tha beat. This more on tha Reggaeton style. Although tha style, I don't think it'll get picked up (due to it bein' on RC's label). If Hot 97 gets this, then maybe it'll get RC's label more exposure (as well as tha BIG label). Not that high of a rating from me, so make sure some remixes get out there! Then, maybe I'd like it more. My Rating: 3.2

Overall: Yay, it ended at 6:21 PM (my birthday time)! :) Anyway, not tha best PO I heard. A lil' too much HMin' in tha beginning, and some weird songs during tha 2nd 1/2. Really, PO has ta get better! This WAS NOT worth tha 3 week delay fa me! Please, pick up betta songs 'cause this couple songs (this time, only 1 song) havin' 4.6 or higher fa me AIN'T GONNA CUT IT!!
