Promo Only: Dance Radio November 2011 review! Usually, November’s usually tha best (or sometimes, bad) PO of tha year, wit many bangerz/unknown songs, so I’m really lookin’ forward to this edition! Start Time: 11:03 AM | End Time: 12:59 PM


Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much really love it, as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. 01. Katy Perry “The One That Got Away (Mixin’ Marc & Tony Svejda Radio Edit)”
Not sure if I can anticipate this mix ‘cause when I looked for tha song’s info, I found a 7th Heaven Radio Edit on YT, which iz pretty hot; doesn’t make me wanna hear another mix. But, let’s see how we’ll start this edition… >>> Sounds like a hot remix beat for tha start, so I guess this iz acceptable… Not much change between tha chorus and 2nd verse? Doesn’t sound like much I should expect, then… Now, it’s soundin’ slow, even though 7H’s 132 and this iz 130; I guess tha tight beats from 7H help hide tha boringness. LOL, she sounds like she’s sayin’, “tha whoa-oh;” oh wait, she iz (‘cause of tha “tha” in tha title), like a cut-off word. Ironic that last November, “Only Girl (In The World)” started tha November ’10 CD off, wit MM&TS on tha mix. My Rating: 3.4


02. Alexandra Stan “Get Back (ASAP)”
What’s wit tha unexpected content warning songs? Like, I don’t expect it. Glad “Mr. Saxobeat” crossed over to pop; hope this stuff keeps happenin’. But lol, PO showin’ her more luv than EM & VJ, since “Stereo Love” was their only PO appearance; at least she has another one, lol! For tha song, it’s good, but sounds a lil’ repetitive. I thought I’d hear more of tha “yeah…yeah…yeah” guy music in tha background. At times, it sounds like there’s too much music (1:55) and then, toward tha end, lots of tha chorus; odd mix… My Current Rating: 3.9


03. Rihanna Feat. Calvin Harris “We Found Love (R3hab XS Remix Radio Edit)”
LOL, I didn’t even realize this was in tha CD; hope it’s a good remix! >>> Sounds like a cool beat start. Startin’ to go from decent to pretty hot once tha chorus starts; I feel anticipated… LOL, kinda reminds me of what a dubstep sound would sound like, only wit a mix of dance. Really likin’ this for a remix; nice twist! Ooh @ tha really hot part @ 2:16!! Wow, R3hab for best new dance artist of 2011!! My Rating: 4.5


04. Breathe Carolina “Blackout (Wideboys Radio Edit)”
Looks like a female… First NH song on here, wit Wideboys on tha mix. Even this mix made Mainstream Radio; I wonder why… >>> Not a female but it sounds like some good beats… Sounds like some vocals to get used to; wonder if it’ll cross over ‘cause of it bein’ on Mainstream Radio? LOL, almost sounds like I can’t even tell when there’s verses; sounds like one consistent chorus… LOL, a change-up at 1:48; ‘bout time, in a tight way! My Rating: 4.2


05. Gloria Estefan Feat. Pitbull “Wepa (R3hab Radio Edit)”
Another R3hab mix! LOL @ tha comeback; had took a listen at tha Ralphi Rosario mix, which sounds good, but never did anything wit tha song, yet. >>> Actually, a good start from Pitbull, wit a lil’ different twist from R3hab. Sounds like a hot anthem; wonder if KTU’ll get (if they don’t have already)? Like tha parts when GE jumps in wit that R3hab beat that sounds like it grows. :tu Even though this iz pretty hot, I still think tha Spanish shit should stay away from tha dance world; can’t give me nightmares of tha reggaeton dayz, lol. My Rating: 4.0


06. Goodwill & Hook N Sling “Take You Higher”
Seems like I have a shitload of AL for this ‘cause of HNS as a part of tha artist! “Diamonds In The Sky” could possibly be my #1 song of 2011, bein’ tha 1st dance song to do so since 2005 (“Listen To Your Heart”—I remember we had tha same #1 on our YEC, lol)! >>> Different start… damn, what’s up wit tha familiar vocals? Kinda makin’ my AL pretty low… Oh wait, here comes a hot beat. Still, I wonder where these vocals came from ‘cause it’s a remake. Also, only two choruses, just like “DITS”. Even though a lil’ of not what I expected, at least tha tight music’s there; that’s at least somethin’! My Rating: 4.1


07. BeyoncĂ© “Countdown (DJ Escape & Tony Coluccio Radio Edit)”
Oh no, B on PO again, lol. But, good mixers, so let’s see what this’ll turn out to be. >>> Not to mention, one of tha most classic words on tha title! Still do my “countdown” to this day (since July 5, 2000)! Heard tha original briefly and didn’t think I’d IC it. But, even though she sounds a lil’ weird on this mix, it sounds like DJE & TC are providin’ nice beats! I like all tha “10…9…8…7…6…5…4…3…2…1” parts, which I thought was a lil’ cool. My Rating: 3.7


08. Laidback Luke vs. Example “Natural Disaster”
Kick-ass title from a kick-ass remixer, plus a UK rapper; this should be kick-ass in all, then! >>> Really hot keys goin’ on, here! Not a bad singin’ start from Example on tha chorus, here. LOL, a lil’ rappin’ goin’ on, too; nice combo all tha way ‘round! Ooh, here comes tha typical, really hot beats from LL! Yes, real nice, here! LOL, more rappin’ from Example; nice breakdown. A whole gumbo pot of everything I like all in one: rappin’, some singin’, a hot title, great artists, tight beats, and more! I guess this iz tha kinda title you follow up with after “Turbulence”, lol? Makes perfect sense ‘cause tha “turbulence” was so high, to where a “natural disaster” was caused, lol! My Rating: 4.6


09. Traci Lords “Last Drag (Razor N Guido Radio Edit)”
Looks like either a cigarette title or gay, lol. Mysterious expectations, so lemme see how this’ll go. >>> I saw tha female name and expected somethin’; pretty hot start, so far, so I’m lookin’ forward! Definitely some hot vocals wit a great club beat! I think it has ta do wit a cigarette, lol, vs. a “bad habit;” very catchy shit goin’ on, here! High interest throughout tha whole song; hope it does big for me in 2012! My Rating: 4.4


10. Jenna Drey “Can’t Let Go (Lenny B Radio Edit)”
Let’s keep tha consistency goin’!!!!! >>> Too bad people ignored tha previous song (“Girlz Night Out”). Now that she’s no longer wit Robbins and back wit her original label (Audio One Records), I hope she can still get out there. This iz soundin’ pretty hot wit tha LB beats and her sexiness. Ooh, chorus soundin’ really hot!! Sounds like some hot beats goin’ on after tha chorus, too; I know my November CD once I hear/see it!! Overall, hot song tha whole way ‘round; you know what it iz! Mega catchiness goin’ on here! My Rating: 4.7


½time: Definitely a hot CD for me! I think 2012’s gonna be a huge year! This year was great for moments, but tha time management, iPod needin’ to be restored, nearly losin’ my desktop computer, and how I didn’t have tha time to actually play a lot of songs this year made tha spins and music look bad. Either way, 4.2 for tha CD rating on tha ½ point; that’s huge!!


11. Craig Smart “123 (Davey Badiuk Club Radio Mix)”
Another song, finally. “One Life Stand” had its share in tha dance world and now, finally, somethin’ else, on his own! >>> Not much of a start, here; sounds like it could be a pop song. I almost thought I heard a female but it’s his background vocals. Ooh, some extra music goin’ on in tha chorus; good beats—I knew it would take a minute or so, lol. Gotta luv tha beats that sound like a crazy computer, mixed wit some dubstep, lol! Prolly could’ve called this song “Loving You” instead of “123”, lol… My Rating: 3.8


12. Farahri “Shake Your Body (Remix Radio Edit)”
Here’s tha fastest song on this CD. When I only see “Remix Radio Edit”, it mainly reminds me of a pop song remixed, but mostly, it turns out to be a dance song, just remixed. LOL, I wanna see what’s up wit this, though! >>> Sounds like a mix of dance-pop wit pop; good vocals and decent, so far. Hearin’ tha chorus and all tha BPMs are here, soundin’ pretty good… I think I should have more interest in this; more things could be happenin’ wit this beat durin’ tha verses… My Rating: 4.2


13. Taio Cruz Feat. Flo Rida “Hangover”
No…………………….. Don’t………… go……………. down……….hill…….. >>> Damn, not my kinda start; more of a yawn and typical content of this ‘drunk’ shit, smh… I betcha David Guetta produced this; who else, especially since these two dickride him. Just like his “Dirty Picture” song from last year, this shouldn’t go anywhere; doesn’t even sound like tha kind of content for a hit… I think… Then again, it’s 2011, where anything goes. My Rating: 2.1


14. LeAnn Rimes “Give (Cahill Radio Edit)”
Looks like a double comeback, here; lookin’ forward to some new Cahill beats! >>> Still sounds just as hot as they did not too long ago! This iz an interestin’ combo: LeAnn Rimes & Cahill; sounds nice and hot… not sure what else ta say… Kinda startin’ ta get a lil’ borin—oh, it ended already, lol; that was fast. My Rating: 3.8


15. LMFAO “Sexy And I Know It”
LOL… It’s cool that it’s on pop stations; fuck these “clean” edits, since I have tha regular versions. As far as appearin’ on here, it shouldn’t; it’s either pop-acceptable or dance-acceptable. Decent song, overall, even though I’m on a lil’ on tha lazy side to play it. My Current Rating: 3.2


16. Ola “All Over The World (Cahill Radio Edit)”
Damn @ tha “Promo Only Clean…”; anotha Cahill, so I’m excited to hear! >>> Sounds like a huge beat for tha beginning; lookin’ forward to hearin’! Yes, kickin’ in and soundin’ even better! Male vocals, here, and even though I’m gettin’ adjusted to ‘em while they progress, I think this already sounds hotter than tha LeAnn Rimes remix. Chorus sounds pretty tight; like tha strongness goin’ on, here! My Rating: 4.5


17. PK Project Feat. Sophia Cruz & Passion Paul “Let Me Love You (Rev-Players Radio Mix)”
Ironic that this iz tha slowest on here, when R-P have had tha fastest on two POs. Either way, you know I look forward to somethin’ like this, courtesy of Amathus Music!!! >>> Sounds a lil’ R&B wit tha vocals in tha beginning but I’m waitin’ for this beat to kick in! Not too bad for a start, but it seems like it took a while for a beat to kick in. Tha beat iz pretty nice; I thought I’d be expectin’ a lil’ more, though, since tha previous mixes were Tech-House. A few tweaks needed to be done to this if I was gonna rate it a lil’ on tha higher side. But, it’s just decent for me. My Rating: 3.7


18. Topher Jones Feat. Jess Underdown & James Bowers “Lost It All (Original Edit)”
I don’t even remember any of tha dance labels any of these songs are signed to, lol; talk about a complete blank, but more of a mysterious, high AL for some songs. This looks like an interestin’ lineup, so I gon see what’s up! >>> Sounds like “In The Air”’s beginning, lol. A lil’ scary male vocals in tha beginning wit a very dry beat… Damn, a whole minute went by and I’m still sittin’ here like nothin’s happenin’? :confused What? PO says 128 BPM? There’s 0! Oh, now, at 1:52, a beat’s slowly kickin’ in… 1:52? Gee, thanx Ultra Records! I wonder why there’s all these features; it sounds like only one person singin’… Oh perfect, “Hello” just came on MCD; let’s join tha party, smh! Very pointless to be on here… Wow, I hear a female! With only six seconds left; that’s a lot of time, smh! My Rating: 1.4


19. Havana Brown Feat. Pitbull “We Run The Night”
Oh no, not a “We ___ The Night” title… Andrea Rosario’s queen of it, from her 4/11 “We Own The Night”! Looks like another pointless original, non-dance song, but wit a female, maybe some decentness’ll come outta it? >>> LOL, huge dance start, courtesy of RedOne on tha beat, of course; no wonder why it’s on here. Wow, very hot beat and tha female’s Jamaican, accordin’ to her vocals! Even though signed wit a Pop/Urban label, I don’t think it’s gonna be on pop stations; she seems too unknown. For a Pitbull appearance, I think fits good in this, a lil’. However, there should be different rappers (mainly not from tha U.S.). Just like Guetta on pop stations, other people can make it… My Rating: 4.3


20. Leona Lewis & Avicii “Collide (Afrojack Radio Edit)”
Holy shit, 5:52 on tha length, lol! When I saw “1:00 intro” on PO’s info on this, I thought it was a joke. Now, it’s really this long—well, not. MCD has tha real Afrojack Radio Edit; should just call this a Mixshow Edit, Club Mix or somethin’. For some reason, I like this version better than tha AG&JR mix from two POs ago. Somethin’ about it just gets you in a good mood; I guess it’s tha combo of tha three of them? And yes, had to put Avicii on tha ID, this time! So glad this iz tha longest PODR song of all time! It beats Miley Cyrus “The Climb” remix, luckily! My Current Rating: 4.4


21. Meital “Yummy Boyz (Danny Verde Radio Edit)”
LOL, ironic: Jenna Drey’s on this CD, who had her “Girlz”, previously. Now, it’s tha “Boyz” time, wit a “Z”, lol. MCD got their best friends (Electrolightz) on tha mix, but I have a feelin’ this’ll be a better version. >>> At least this has a lil’ dance goin’ on in tha beat… I like how all tha vocals are quiet/semi-whisperin’, in a really sexy way. :tu Ooh, some classic beat sounds goin’ on at around 1:06, like it’s tha early 2000s or somethin’! My Rating: 4.3


Overall: I enjoyed this CD, even though I was a lil’ disappointed by some songs (tha Rev-Players mix, tha mix for Katy Perry, and a lil’ wit tha Hook N Sling one) and there was pure crap (tha Taio Cruz one, LMFAO shouldn’t’ve been on here ‘cause this CD was meant to be real dancey, and that #18), but lots of bangers on here that I loved!!
