Review #2,071: Promo Only "Dance Radio January 2026"

Reviewed on 12.21.2025 (Review #2,071)

Been real-real busy tryna complete my upcomin’ album’s music videoz & graphics… Now, I finally have a moment ta get ta dis: Promo Only Dance Radio January 2026, tha review! Can’t wait fa this edition, wit a bunch of bangerz, it looks like…! Start Tyme: 10:02 AM | End Tyme: 11:49 AM

Disclaimer: I type how I wanna type (frequent use of “tha” instead of “the,” “iz” instead of “is,” “a”-ending words instead of “er,” and a few others). I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! As long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it, I like it how I wanna like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much really love it, as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it. Sometymes, I may not rate a song too high on its first listen, but in tha future, I could be playin’ it more than a higher-rated song…

01. Tiësto & FORS “Bring Me To Life”
Label: Spinnin’/Atlantic
Was tryna figure out which track was longer than tha norm, 1st on here & at 130 BPM… It’s this one, which sounds good, tho I got lazy on addin’ it… *Rehears* Likin’ tha computerized-type of intro, here… Sounds like an interestin’ way ta open up fa 2026! Nice lil’ 51 seconds & then, tha strong chorus kicked in! Gotta luv tha strength of tha female vocals & how Mr. Ësto brings tha 130-paced heat!! Likin’ tha drop & everything about this, in a Tiësto way…! Now, at 2:06, tha verse begins & sounds good/hypnotizin’ with these female vocals soundin’ smooth & euphoric, with Tiësto’s music, here…! Tha rest of this sounds nice, slowly progressin’ tha way ta 2026, here…! Nice lil’ extended outro of music, too… My Rating: 4.5

02. BONNIE X CLYDE “What Love Can Do”
Label: Breakaway
I don’t really anticipate their trax that much. However, with tha dance world bein’ faster & more euphoric these dayz, I can stretch my anticipation a lil’ fa BXC. Only 128 BPM, but maybe soon, they’ll enter tha faster 130’s – 140’s! >>> Sounds good with Bonnie’s awesome vocal start, with this anticipatin’, slow beginning of music!! Definitely feelin’ tha 1st verse, as it progresses with tha music & tha hotness of BXC! Definitely on that route of more anticipation, along tha way!! Tha chorus sounds good; I’m feelin’ what they’re bringin’, between tha 1st verse & chorus transitionin’ into each other…! Tha drop pretty cool, too; definitely tha awesome way ta say, “Hello!,” ta 2026!! Tha 2nd verse sounds good/cool, too; definitely feelin’ what they’re bringin’, here! A lot betta than some of their previous songs, throughout this decade! Hope they’re on their way to puttin’ their best, fastest music out!! My Rating: 4.7

03. Daya & Albi “Good Boys (Hide Away)”
Label: Spinnin’
After a decade, here comes a rework/130 BPM newer version of Daya’s breakout single… Wonder how her & Albi combine, here? Definitely anticipatin’ tha 130 BPM, but dunno how this combination came about/gon sound…! >>> Intro seems…, ehh… Heard Albi with Sinéad Harnett, earlier this year, courtesy of “If You Let Me” & Albi sped tha pitch up on Sinéad’s vox. Now, Albi doin’ it wit Daya, here… Wasn’t really feelin’ tha beginning, but then, when tha chorus pitched up came on, it gave me a touch of hope. If this was an original-original track, I could see more interest. Then again, this betta than nothin’/bullshit about money! My Rating: 3.9

04. Loud Luxury & Emily Roberts “Love You For Life”
Label: Casablanca/Republic
So glad fa this one!! Earlier, last year, when I started my upcomin’ album’s music process, on August 30, 2024, two dayz after, I discovered Emily Roberts on Jonasu’s “Healing” track. Tha track was tha 1st song to top my playlist, right after my mysterious U-Haul incident happened & became a Top 10 of my year-end countdown of 2024! Though that track got no mainstream exposure, here comes this one & I’m definitely feelin’ tha vibe it’s bringin’ fa tha end of 2025/into 2026!! My momz iz feelin’ this one, too, so that’s an even betta look! Definitely props on this one!! Definitely feelin’ how LL sped up their music to 133, which was tha previous tempo of tha Jonasu track, too! Definitely awesome fa Emily, “Tha 133 Girl,” I’ll call her, lol, ta appear on anotha 133 BPM-paced track! Gotta feel her non-U.S. vocals & how she brings a feel-good vibe fa Loud Lux!! Tha chorus good, with tha Loud Lux boyz backin’ up tha chorus vocals, too! Also, tha drop with tha “…it down” parts; gotta feel ‘em, especially at a 133 pace!! Tha 2nd verse sounds good ta hear, too… “My appetite!” My Current Rating: 4.8

05. BlackGummy feat. Oliver Rio “Raise”
Label: mau5trap
Saw a POOL song from Deathpixie & Skylar Grey on here… Thought this was that, but no! Tha label & 128 BPM match fooled me, as this mysterious track comes in to play! Let’s see what mystery it gon bring ta me… >>> Saw a male vocalist on tha vocals & didn’t think I was gonna have tha most anticipation, here… Reminds me of a today’s-R&B singer, in tha direction he goin’ wit his vocal style? Sounds like tha music’s buildin’ up nicely on tha beginning of tha track, here… Instantly went into tha drop & it’s ehh… I would say, this a lil’ basic? Tha 2nd verse ehh, includin’ tha random appearance from a female background vocalist… Tha rest of this iz ass ta me… My Rating: 1.6

06. TWINSICK feat. Hayley May “Glory Days”
Label: Ultra
Looks like an interestin’ collab… Hopin’ for tha best wit this one…! >>> Sounds like a beginning I’d have ta get used to, between tha slow music start & Hayley’s vocals… We’ll see how this progresses, second by second… Decent 1st verse, overall; hearin’ tha chorus play through, as well as tha drop & it’s anotha basic-soundin’ track, imo. Nothin’ terrible, but just seems like it’s here ta fill space up… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse & it’s anotha decent verse. However, I’m feelin’ tha whole vibe of tryna stretch tha “Glory Days” out, courtesy of Hayley’s lyrics. My Rating: 3.8

07. Jared Lee & Disco Fries “Collide”
Label: Liftoff
Can they provide some 130 BPM-paced magic, here?! >>> Sounds like an okay start, for a slow beginning… Tha chorus ain’t too bad, fa this track… Hearin’ tha drop play & it sounds betta than tha previous song on here, but still, it’s on a basic tip. Hearin’ tha drop continue onto anotha set of four barz & it’s soundin’ betta, luckily…! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse & it ain’t that bad… Good attempt, with tha faster tempo; just gotta get used to it. My Rating: 3.8

08. Layton Giordani & GENESI feat. Be No Rain “Call You Back”
Label: MADMINDS/Armada
This one’s been out there, but honestly, seein’ tha title like this reminds me of a procrastination wish from McClain!! Had it happen so many tymes, ta where I corrected him ta habit sayin’, “Fuck wit me, Frankie,” as far as wrappin’ up a conversation without a cliffhanger. He used ta say, “Lemme call you right back.” Hell naw!! I don’t fuck wit dat!! With that bein’ said, let’s see how this turns out… Neva got ta really listen-listen to it… >>> Yea, cheesy male vocals with tha title part repeatin’ a bunch of tymes… “I got five lines in my system!” Whoa… Almost thought it had ta do wit phone “lines,” such as McClain, who has FOUR phone “lines”! Unless you count Messenger, that iz “five” wayz ta try & get a hold of him, smh?! With that bein’ said, despite tha “lines in” BNR’s “system,” it’s still corny with tha way tha vocals sound & all tha cliffhangin’ of “Call You Back”! Coulda been betta wit more euphoric-type of music, but this goes more for tha desperate ones that need a “call” to come “back.” My Rating: 3.5

09. DVBBS & Badger “Promises”
Label: Ultra
After some cheesy vibes on this edition, here comes this mysterious one!! Definitely anticipatin’ tha 140 BPM from these two!! I feel it in my heart that they can put out a masterpiece!! Can’t wait ta hear what this one got in store!!! >>> Anticipatin’ start, but dunno if these female vocals are all original, just yet… I believe they are. Wanted ta prevent my thinkin’ from thinkin’ this was a remake or somethin’… Sounds like a cool chorus, with an anticipatin’ build-up for tha drop enterin’ tha track! Definitely feelin’ tha way it has that “THE DAYS (Notion Remix)” vibe to tha transition of when tha beats kick in!! Definitely nice; definitely feelin’ this heat fa tha upcomin’ 2026!! Tha 2nd verse sounds like it’s anotha awesome-soundin’ vibe, as well…! Gotta luv how they all keep it goin’ & I wonder who tha female iz…! My Rating: 4.8

10. Odd Mob & OMNOM: HYPERBEAM “Coming Up (It’s Dare)”
Label: Queens Road/Atlantic
Lmao! Saw tha 134 BPM & figured it was gonna be this, since my good-ole friend, OMNOM, put out “Everyone’s Your Friend” w/Marco Strous, earlier this year & that was at 134 BPM. Now, when I saw tha label, I didn’t think it was this. In tha end, it was! As far as tha ID, I put it as “Odd Mob & OMNOM: HYPERBEAM,” which iz said like, “Odd Mob & OMNOM Presents HYPERBEAM,” since Odd Mob & OMNOM are HYPERBEAM! Also, how funny! Tha original, Gorillaz’ “Dare”, kicked off tha 2006 edition of Dance Radio—tha 1st Dance Radio named Dance Radio, after followin’ tha Select Series Dance editions of Promo Only! That was tha Dave Audé Edit at 134 BPM & now, two decades later, still at 134 BPM!! What are tha odds ta keep such an awesome BPM pace tha same, after two decades?!? Definitely likin’ how they redid M.I.A.’s “Paper Planes” into their “System” track, three months ago. Now, here comes tha Gorillaz… Luv how OMNOM repeats tha vocals with tha mixin’ & tha combination between OM & OMNOM iz unstoppable!! Even likin’ how they redid tha Gorillaz’ music sound at 0:51, to create an awesome-soundin’ drop fa tha 2025/2026!! Tha lil’ breakdown b4 tha 2nd chorus sounds pretty hot, with how they mixed it together! Gotta luv tha HYPERBEAMness of OM & OMNOM!! My Current Rating: 4.7

½tyme: At a 4.0-rated release, currently… Most tracks seem to be anticipatin’ & are deliverin’ nicely, while a few tracks seem okay or not for me, here… Still, I anticipate more wit this edition & can’t wait ta see how we gon keep 2026’s energy up, ya heard me?!

11. Kaleena Zanders & Shift K3Y “The Light”
Label: Helix
Glad ta see these two wit a new track, together… Not too anticipated wit Kaleena, at tymes, but with these faster beats, I feel like I can change my mind, in a way… >>> Definitely feelin’ tha 133 BPM-paced music start, to tha fullest!! Gotta luv tha anticipation Shift K3Y brings, especially wit Kaleena, here!! Definitely feelin’ tha vocals, to tha fullest!! This that strength, includin’ tha chorus!! Definitely what’s up!! Could be my favorite one on here!! Even tha “pushin’ me on & on & on,” durin’ tha chorus, reminded me of tha late Nightcrawlers… Definitely what’s up! As far as tha drop, it sounds cool; I like tha more euphoric-soundin’ part (every odd-numbered bar) vs. tha dry-soundin’ part (every even-numbered bar). With that bein’ said, here comes tha 2nd verse… Definitely anticipatin’ that music & how Kaleena brings it, throughout tha 2nd verse…! Luv tha lil’ bridge, too, as Shift K3Y really delivers fa Kaleena, here!! Also, gotta point out that I luv Shift’s lil’ breakbeat breakdowns/music parts, at tymes! My Rating: 4.9

12. Anna Sofia “B2B”
Label: Ultra
Whoa @ this one, too!! Don’t think I eva heard this female b4 & with tha “B2B”-acronymed title (“Back 2 Back”), I feel that’s tha vibe, when it comes to all these faster-soundin’ tracks!! Now, a 140 BPM-paced track from a complete newbie—female, too!! Talk about anticipation!!! >>> Feelin’ tha fast start with tha music, here! Definitely ready ta hear tha newbie, here…! Hearin’ her voice on tha 1st verse & she sounds like a new version of Tate McRae!! Can’t believe Tate has already been out in tha music scene fa five years—half-decade, now!! With that bein’ said, definitely a hot-soundin’ chorus, to tha maximum, here!! Not much of a drop, but still sounds hot tha way it transitioned into a chorus fa more… Been taken away by tha fast music & Tate McRaeness of a brand-new track! Oh, okay… I hear a drop, followin’ tha extra vocals… Definitely nice with tha way this Anna believes in tha fastness, from her debut day of appearin’ on PO/in my life, here!! My Rating: 4.6

13. Devault feat. GiGi Grombacher “Feels Like Us”
Label: Experts Only
This one! Been seein’ this one a lot on Diplo’s Revolution, includin’ BPM! Tha vocalist in tha background iz one I didn’t love-love, at first (GiGi Grombacher, from XANDRA’s “Body Say”). However, this iz way betta, between tha 132 BPM-paced pace & tha way she collaborated with Devault, here!! Gotta luv tha music of Devault, this tyme! So tripped out that his only PO appearance was on tha June 2023 Dance Radio edition wit OTR (“Apart Of Me”). I was in Iowa wit Killa McClain, that month; we went to Mount Rushmore ‘cause he wanted to. That’s how I began celebratin’ success!! Now, with this one, I luv how GiGi provides her sexy, catchy vocals, throughout Devault’s production! Tha build-up b4 tha chorus finishes iz definitely awesome ta hear!! Also, when tha chorus kicks in without tha music, durin’ tha 2nd ½ of tha track! Definitely feelin’ how Devault keeps that energy goin’, no matter how much you hear, ya heard me?! Also, at 2:24, tha bridge! Definitely somethin’ ta yearn for!! Definitely feelin’ how awesome & intense GiGi brings it, with Devault!! Definitely an awesome drop, from a song that just landed on Earth, like it would do to anotha planet, one day! Could you imagine?! My Current Rating: 4.9

14. RAYE “Where Is My Husband! (David Guetta & Hypaton Remix)”
Label: Human Re Sources/The Orchard
Oh boy, this one… At least, it’s a loud call-out for tha “Husband!,” lol… A good-soundin’ remix from DG&H on tha remix, here… Just a random-soundin’ song with RAYE ramblin’ tha whole verse, basically… Lot goin’ on, as tha chorus also prompts ta begin this mission fa this “husband!” Boy, oh boy… Still, a good lil’ remix. We’ll see if it gets major attention? Dunno… Tha rest of this sounds like it deserves a ton of mainstream attention, with how RAYE comes through wit her tracks! My Current Rating: 4.0

15. Disclosure & Leon Thomas “Deeper”
Label: Disorder/Interscope/Capitol
Seein’ this one get out there… Thought their previous collab wit Chris Lake & Leven Kali “one2three” was gon be on a Dance Radio… It didn’t; just did its thang in tha background & now, here we are wit this one. *Rehears* These male vocals not too-too bad, for a UK R&B-like vibe, I’d say? Plus, tha faster breakbeatness of Disclosure & their 136 BPM, here…! Sounds more like a more-interestin’ version of what a today’s-R&B singer would sound on a dance track, today. Props fa Disclosure fa alwayz believin’ in tha UK sound & fastness it brings! Gotta feel that anthemic bridge part! Definitely nice, musically! My Rating: 4.0

16. HAYLA & Nelly Furtado “FADED”
Label: Casablanca/Republic
Been seein’ this one get out there… Also, I heard, rumor has it, Nelly Furtado don’t wanna do music, anymore? Her weight gettin’ in tha way? It reminds me a lil’ of how I wanna just produce & not do vocal collabz wit people, anymore? This collaboration industry ain’t as pretty as it seems! It’s bittersweet to tha bone gristle, in tha end!! With that bein’ said, okay beginnin’ from N-Furtado, here… Hearin’ tha 1st verse from HAYLA & it ain’t bad. Then, when Nelly backs her up, it sounds okay ta hear, too… Seems fairly decent, includin’ that vocal-chopped drop, too… Likin’ how tha 2nd chorus came in, with some hot-soundin’ music ta build up fa tha final drop! Definitely nice; was a decent track when I heard it, in tha beginning. My Current Rating: 4.1

17. GT_Ofice, Matthew Topper & DJ Snowden “No Broke Girls”
Label: Caine
Oh boy… Glad ta see anotha GT song, but what’s with this title? Looks like tha opposite of Disco Lines & Tinashe “No Broke Boys”! Plus, that was so on a McClain level!! This tha female version of that? Dunno how GT got in this mess of tha “No Broke”ness, but we’ll see where his brain’s at, afta I hear what he, MT & DJS brought, here…! >>> Sounds like a strong music start & then, tha male vocals came in like a rapper, here… Sounds like I can appreciate it more with its anthemicness/129 BPMness, as well as tha build-up to tha drop! Tha chorus literally took it from “No Broke Boys”, as an answer track!! Haven’t used that reference in a long tyme!! Sounds like a cool song ta appreciate, includin’ tha nice lil’ music drop. Still, I don’t see this doin’ big numbaz or anythang like “No Broke Boys” did… Just seems like a funny lil’ answer track with some dope-soundin’ energy, oddly enough… My Rating: 4.2

18. Gil Glaze “Human”
Label: Sony
He had an awesome track on tha previous edition, which I haven’t even added, yet… Now, a slower-paced track? We shall see what he gon bring, here… >>> Sounds anticipatin’ with tha music start, here… Hearin’ tha female vocals in tha beginning, here & it almost reminded me of a remake… This “how does it feel?” question that she asks iz pretty anticipatin’. Hearin’ tha build-up at 0:37 in tha music’s pretty hot!! Definitely feelin’ tha anticipation, here!! Hope it hits hard, as far as tha drop goes!! Sounds more upliftin’ & energetic, here, as tha chorus continues with it… Tha drop part followin’ that sounds nice ta hear, as well… Hopin’ for an awesome 2026 fa Mr. Gil, glazin’ it up, pun intended! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse & all tha “how does it feel?” questions continue, still soundin’ anticipatin’ & rewardin’ ta enter 2026, imo! My Rating: 4.3

19. DEATHPIXIE feat. Skylar Grey “Let You Lie”
Label: mau5trap
Heard this one on tha POOL player… Instantly openin’ up with Skylar “dressed in white,” gettin’ hit wit a “lie.” Oh, I hate a “lie,” especially when it’s a man-on-man conversation!! With that bein’ said, this an okay track with some good energy. That’s why, I added it. Still, every tyme I see Skylar on a track, I alwayz think that she should be hittin’ millions on err-thang, but it’s an underrated world of today, I think? Tha rest of this continues ta bring tha energy on, despite Skylar gettin’ lied to, while she was “dressed in white.” Deep… My Current Rating: 3.9

20. Marshmello & INJI “Kissin’ My Friends”
Label: Joytime Collective
Saw this one get out there & waited ta add it ‘cause it was on here… Definitely felt tha fastness & energy tha 1st tyme I heard it! Didn’t realize it was Mr. Mello, too…! *Rehears* Likin’ tha female vocals fa tha track & how tha 1st verse sounds, altogether… Hearin’ tha chorus & its catchiness of tha whole “kissin’” seems ta take ova tha track, imo. Definitely nice, courtesy of all tha energy applied, here! Tha 2nd verse ain’t too bad, progressin’ this track through fa some future nostalgia… Tha rest of tha chorus repeatin’ toward tha near-end keeps it goin’ with some different beats, but it’s still gravy, baby… My Rating: 4.1

21. The Chainsmokers & Anna Sofia “Helium”
Label: Secondhand Happiness/Disruptor/Columbia
*Bell rings in Frankie’s head…* Oh yea, that’s where Anna was from!! My fault that I couldn’t remember, based off of her solo appearance on this edition! Now, here comes this one & it’s pretty outdated, I’d say? “Extended” & only 166 seconds long?! Random appearance ta end tha reviewz off fa tha year… Literally, we had “Spaces” after this! Now, we get this back. A good collab, between TC & AS, but tha beats are way too slow/trappy fa me. Shoulda been doubled ta 140 BPM & woulda been a lot betta fa me, here! This 70ness iz way too dry & boring…! Also, TC wit their auto-tuned-soundin’ voice… Ehh, not tha gr8ness of “Spaces”, here…! Boring appearance; I ain’t gotta say much else… My Current Rating: 2.8

Overall: Thought this was an awesome edition, regardless of what was on here… So much energy & faster tracks fa tha new year, which I’m appreciatin’ a whole lot!! I know this was a difficult year fa me ta progress through, but all tha faster music really got me through it! It really made me realize how much extra you can attempt ta get outta tha world, no matter how dark or light it may be! I will continue strivin’ through 2026, tha only way I know possible! Nothin’ but happiness & 100.00%ness!!
